Set sounds pretty good

Just downed your set and it's really really good IMO, really like the tracks and your style. Feedback will follow after I've listened to the other sets.

Ok first off let me congradulate M2W on an awesome mix!

- Tracklist: [9.5] Not one track is the same producer, and they are all stars. A great boast for your mix, some are a bit redundant but for your mix style you kept great composure.

- Mixing/Technique: [9.5] Near Flawless, Perfect Sync, Great Tempo. Awesome Job.

- Build-up/Structure: [9] Starts off slow builds up perfect. Throwing in that mix for Oceanlab was key, really caught my attention. Everything flowed nicely I was truly amazed.

-Originality: [9.5] Never seen it before, mixed well. Honestly the best Vinyl mix I've heard so far. I don't even like this style of music and this mix still owned, he may have finally changed my mind here.

OVERALL - [9.4] If this doesn't win the Vinyl/CD section I will be shocked. GREAT JOB!

Tracklist: some scorchers in there, like Way Out West, Twilight and Gleave Dobbin, with some calmer tracks in between. Excellent. 9,25

Originality: who cares? great mix. 9,0

Mixing: hear some very minor flaws at times, but never anything really noteworthy. Very Solid mixing. 8,5

Structure: gradually increasing the pace, but never banging/ out of place. Really like the Muthaf**ka track between the calmer proggy tracks. And the ending is great. 9,25

Overall: 9,0

Nice selection of really good tracks, something fresh and no standard trance tunes. The G&D remix of In my memory, so sweet

Mixing: 8,5

Nice mixing skills, nothing wrong with it but just could be a little bit better, some very little mistakes.

Build-up/structure: 9

Nice slow start with an amazing build-up. Nice balance between vocal and non-vocal tracks as well.

Originality: 9

No standard mix, just something different.

Average: 8,89

This will be a difficult one, because you're nr 1 at the mo and I'm 2nd...

Tracklist: 8,5
Definately not my style and only know a few tracks, but then listnening to the mix you've made a nice tracklist!

Mixing: 8
Some small corrections here and there and some crossovers are a litlle bit to far in the end of the tracks IMO (don't know the tracks, but when listnening it seems like you mix the end of the track with the beginning of the next track)
Nice mixing overall!

Build-Up: 8
Very smooth build-up

Originality: 8
I just don't like this style, but it really is original I think!

Overal score: 8.125
Nice score I think, cause the mix is great, but it contains some few small mistakes and corrections, really nice job m8!

this is the first set ive reviewed till now (didnt have any spare time)....
i can tell u one thing dude...im very disappointed in you you could really do much better than this...its seems like u were rushed while recording this or that u only had one shot...anyway here we go

Tracklist :
its all good except for the oceanlab mix and the track after that...im a bitch for that (have a break mix) of ride and that quivver track is WILD!!
ill give u an 8

i guess ill give u another 8 for this...the track selection and mixing of genres is ur own style

Mixing :
now this is where u let me down
ill tell u what i think about every single mix (this is what everyone should do so we know they really listened to the whole thing) ill write that between every two mixed tracks:


1) Sasha - Motorola - BMG - Arista
always difficult to mix breaks with (i dunno what u call em), but u did a good job (i did better though )
2) Chable & Bonnici - Ride (Orig mix) - Alternativeroute
this one is cool
3) Way Out West - Motherf**ka (mix2) - Distinctive
too early for track (4) to fade in which makes the energy drop (@DJResemo : fasalan sa7? maybe u could help me explain that in english)
4) Saints & Sinners - Pushin too hard (2003 bootleg mix) - Bedrock
another cool mix
5) Gleave Dobbin - Penetration (Gleave & Johnston rmx) - Intensive
EQ too much bass..+track (6) has less energy so it gets u out of the mood again
6) Blackwatch Vs Quivver - Loveless - Perfecto
at 41:53 what do we have here?? the basskicks are too different it gets u out of the mood again...but other than that its gr8
7) Tiesto - In my memory (Gabriel & Dresden Elephant Memory mix) - Nettwerk
well this was ok..a bit rushed though ..i love this version of my memory btw..never heard it b4!!
8) Oceanlab - Beautifull Together ( Sylvester's Sunrise Mix) - Anjuna Beats<--dont like it at all
a bit late..too much bass...rushed out
9) Scott Mac pres Deprogression & A J Gibson - Twilght (M2W Edit @ Dawn mk1 rmx/edit) - CDR<<--didnt like this track either

10) Ben Elton ? Motormouth (smootch at disco) Mercury<<--when was that played???



im very sad that i have to give you a 5 for mixing m8
the best way to decide wether a mix is good or bad is whether a person who doesnt know the tracks can tell that the mix has started/ended. and u could sertainly feel that even with some of the ones i said were cool....
so 5 for mixing

Build-Up:
the mixing definately ruined it + the quivver track was definately out of place sad to give u another 5

Overall Score:
6.5


i know ur gonna do much better on the next competition m8...u really know what ur doing and what ur talkin about + ur music taste is dope....
