After a long silence Orjan is back on Intuition Recordings. Having recently released the massive “La Guitarra” under his full name Orjan Nilsen, he now follows up with the label that was once one of the first to discover his unique production skills. In 2004 Intuition Recordings signed his EP “Arctic Globe” & “Prison Break” as the fifth release on the young talent stronghold.
Whilst sticking to his trance roots with the remarkably energetic “Soulflayer” he now also hits us up with his unique take on Neo Trance. “Villa Blanca” is a groovy and chunky beast of a track with a dark and melancholic melody, caned amongst others by Tech master Sander van Doorn and Intuition head honcho Menno de Jong. “Soulflayer” has been played in Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance’ twice already, and is no stranger to the flying Dutchman’s live sets. Enjoy another quality release on Holland’s’ most dedicated trance entity!

A new Intuition release again! This time they took Orjan to produce two peak trancers where Soulflayer already got huge support. If your familiar with Orjan's style u sure gonna like this!

Review:
Orjan - Villa Blanca
The last track i've heard from Orjan was La Guitarra, which was quite nice for a while. U can definitely hear this is produced by the same guy as i hear the bassline comes from the same VST/Synth. I really like the way Orjan adds suspence in his tracks by adding nice effects and playing with his loops. The break of Villa Blanca has an awesome classical touch. A melody which can only be followed by a huge synthline! A nice melody follows in the climax. Nothing too groundbreaking, but this will certainly be enjoyable on the dancefloor and or in the car! I dunno why but the melody just reminds me off some Tiesto work. Think this one could be in his personal charts hehe. Listen to the samples and hear it yourself! Nice work!
Orjan - Soulflayer
This B-side is more popular then Villa Blanca already! Have heard some rips a while ago and must say i was not really that impressed by it. After a few listens it will grow on you for sure. This one is certainly more based for the clubs! The build-up is pretty heavy i must say! Full of energy and best if listened loud! The main melody is pretty well made, some sort of 'mellowish' instrument is used for it. Certainly addictive to the ears! i must say Orjan did a fine job on this track. Have had this one on a CD in the car for a while now, and i have to say i put the volume up with this one. I can imagine this one is quite popular already. Hopefully he keeps on producing tracks like these.
Conclusion:
A real trance EP from Orjan once again. Intuition keeps on signing quality tracks and this one is absolutely no exception to that. Curious what to expect next from both Orjan and Intuition! For now, i will enjoy this EP.
