DJ Legato
Hey all, I'm a fairly new DJ and am trying to get a better grasp on what elements of my sound to change.

I'd appreciate it if you would check out my newest track, MetaGenesis, at:

http://www.myspace.com/legatostudios

If you enjoy my music, it's all available for download off the page for free. Since I consider myself to be in training, I don't see any reason to hold back. If you like what you hear and want to use something in a mix, send me a message on here or myspace and I'd be happy to send you a higher quality version.

Awaiting critiques and such. smile.gif

Hi,
The idea is there but in my opinion this track could use better synths. They sound kinda cheap....
Once you do that I'd love to listen to it again...

I couldn't honestly tell how good or bad it is technically. For me it is pleasing to my ears unlike other disco music. Though it didn't make me feel like dancing, it is good to play early at night before the party gets wild. ^^

hmmm, not my taste....

at least i would create some more speed in the track

fysically and mentally
so: more BPM's
more and better drumsounds, and a (better) bassline

mind the snare drum too, as it's pretty loud right now

try to experiment with a little bit delay on some sounds as they make it more juicy wink.gif

Like moodshaper, i'ld say the sounds are cheap, like if you used instruments from 80's...
Need to pu some effects on your rythmics, change the settings of the original samples.
And try to use some better synths. And even it's not the kind of music i like (sounds really too commercial and too slow for me), i can say the construction of the construction of the track is good but not the samples you used.
