ok i was majorly disappointed with the closing of turnmills, even tho i didn't really go there anymore i had loads of wicked memories there and respected
the venue for trance and trance fans, but i cannot believe The End, my personal favourite club in london, is closing now too! it seems like the underground
edm scene is just dying out in london! i can't see any good clubs coming about really, fair enough the owners of fabric are making some massive new club
called 'Matter', but i can't see that catering all of the amazing nights that The End had.
im not sure how good a substitute MOS is for turnmills, but someone give me a ray of hope by telling me its slightly ok even?
f*cking credit crunch

Not good for London mate, But Glasgow has been the same for a long while. No established clubs playing good solid EDM each week and attracting DJ'S in the same vein. I fear the worst!!! ( Mental note to oneself create club nght in glasgow that suits the needs of trance/progressive clubbers each week = Goldmine!!!)

Birmingham seems do be plodding along as it always has done. Gods still gets a decent lineup atleast once a month and now the newly planned Gatecrasher to be built may even throw more trance into the city

. The midlands also has Passion for the odd night out and were not too far away from Notts either

London needs a kick up its arse !
Edit :: Hey Stevie... let me know when your ready to start the club, i`ll come in with you too !! Lets throw a few DnB nights into the mix too

Ive yet to go to MOS but ive heard its really good and with Markus having a bi monthly residency there w00t

Turnmills did look abit of a s**t hole imo awful layout in the main room but will have to see what MOS is like !
But up here in the middle of England all is good, within 40 mins drive i have Godskitchen Air, Nottingham Loves Gatecrasher, Passion & the new 5.0 million pound revamp that will be Gatecrasher Birmingham.

the gallery at ministry is not bad. not bad at all.
its a shame. a big shame. but if you dont go clubbing to these venues much more these days how many others dont. thats a big reason why these clubs are shutting. that and the areas around them are less run down then they used to be.

I have been to both The Gallery at Turnmills and at Ministry of Sound this year.
To be honest, I wasn't impressed with Turnmills at all. It was run down, the soundsystem wasn't great, and the structure of the main room was a bit of a nightmare. Yes it had all the nostalgia, but in terms of a clubbing experience, I wouldn't have been in a mad rush to go back to it.
I have been nothing but impressed with Ministry of Sound though. The soundsystem in the mainroom there is absolutely amazing. Very cool people and friendly staff as well. The Gallery nights seem to be doing really well there since they moved.
