Label: Enhanced Recordings / Enhanced Music Limited

CODE
Elsa Hill is without doubt one of the foremost female DJ/producer and singer songwriters of today, with a superb discography and international dj dates.

She debuts on Enhanced with 'Lost' - a slick and sassy vocal trancer featuring her own production and vocals.

Remixes come from man of the moment Temple One, who once again underlines his fantastic ability with a beautiful take on the original, and Russian Ilya Mayleuv who delivers a simply outstanding tribal rendition of the original, packed with thumping bass and a wicked groove.

Enhanced Music Limited owned by Will Holland is a quality trance label which released music from Activa, Orjan Nilsen , Estiva, Brisky and many more comes back with a vocal trancer from dj/producer Elsa Hill who is most known of her vocals on Leon Bolier's release - No Need To Come Back and Robert Nickson - Close Your Eyes / Never Again. All i can say she did a fine job here!

All samples made by me, and during 2:00 minutes.

Review:

Elsa Hill - Lost (Original Mix)

To be honest, i had no idea what to expect from Elsa Hill her own productions! I know her vocal, and was very pleased to hear it once again in this release! This track has a very fast build-up and the vocals are coming up after 1 minute. They sound pretty good,, but nothing to go totally wild about though.. perhaps a bit too trancy? Really love the melody in the background of this track, some kinda melodic bleep sound. This is definitely a fine vocal trancer for home listenings or in a car. Not to sure about this one being hammered in the clubs. Perhaps lacking some kind of big "climax".. it's not dull or something, but it's missing the strength for being a club monster. Am ofcourse not aware if that was the intention in the first place!

Elsa Hill - Lost (Temple One Remix)

Not a newcomer on the Enchanced board, Temple One aka Joe Garrett has released some of his own productions on there. The Aurora Ep was just released 2 months ago, which i can recall to be very tasty! Hopefully this remix stands up with that quality. So far so good when i had my first listen. Yes this is definitely a good remix. The vocals are fitting in even better in this remix than the original to be honest. Also Joe added a perfect climax to this one. Some dreamy pads and powerfull synths are turning this remix into a monster! My favourite mix so far! Very addictive to listen to!

Elsa Hill - Lost (Ilya Mayluev Extended Remix)

Nor discogs or google can find some information about Ilya Mayleuv.. so i trust the discription from the release information that this is going to be a "simply outstanding tribal rendition of the original" With a length of over ten minutes i was a bit scared this is gonna be quite dull after a while. To be honest i don't really like this remix. It got a perfect build-up and effects, that's all fine, but it just doesn't go anywhere after that. It keeps on going and going with a break here and a small break there. Perhaps more for the progressive listeners here. Hopefuly his next mix will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Elsa Hill - Lost (Ilya Mayluev Remix)

Six minutes and fifteen seconds long, that sounds more like it! Starts off really tasty and got a good groove to begin with. I must say i prefer a short build-up and straight to the break/climax tracks [With a few exceptions ofcourse.] This one really surprised me! The break is beautiful, nice reverb and delay effects on the vocals. Infact this is just the same as the extended remix, but you just listen to it as it's a total different thing! Because it's rather short this will definitely grabs your attention! A strong short and powerfull tribal/progressive remix that's all i can say! Listen to the samples and decide yourself which mix you prefer!

Conclusion:

Really curious what Elsa Hill's her next productions will be, all i can say she got a talent for both producing and singing! Temple One delivered in my opinion the best mix in the package. Was a bit dissapointed in the Iilya Mayleuv extended remix, but the 'edit' maked it all good. Enhanced got themself a new talent! And her name is Elsa Hill! Good job!

7.5/10
