DannyDeRossi
Hi fellow trance lovers,

Firstly, thought I'd introduce myself as I'm new to this site...

Anyway, I've just finished my first trance tune and think its quite good, but losing objectiveness as I've heard it so many times!

I would be really grateful for some feedback and if any DJ's fancy playing it then let me know and I'll e-mail the high quality mp3.

Track 1 - Lost In A Moment (Lonely Beach mix)

Look forward to hearing from you soon!!

Thanks,

Danny
RAU
It's very well made. I like the synths you used, and the bassline is nice and simple.

@ 3:10: I love when the percussion drops out... there's so much sound that comes out at that part.

While, I'm maybe not one the most technical listeners, I enjoyed this track. Keep it up! 123groovey.gif

Ok, if you ask for that tongue.gif

Will comment almost everything i hear and then respond musically

- the kick is a bit flat
- there comes a bass or lead... that's hard to hear what you want from it. It could be deeper when you use it for a bassline wink.gif Some delay on it would be good too smile.gif
- (0.40)nice thing you do now with the kick smile.gif
- The hihat can use some delay on it and some more high frequencies wink.gif
- the clap is a bit too soft
- nice introduction of the lead smile.gif
- the arpeggiator lead can use a better equaliser (less low frequencies) and some delay too
- nice lead over the arpeggiator smile.gif
- nice outtro... but not dj friendly wink.gif

In general, i see you can use more effects on your channels. I think that can boost your tune to a much higher level. Technically it's a nice start for a first track smile.gif
The intro and outtro make it hard for a dj right now... maybe you can make them more djfriendly the next time smile.gif
Some more percussions can make the track more juicy too wink.gif

Musically it's a nice tune. I think you need to look after the bassline as it sounds like a low lead sound right now.
You have a nice climax and a nice potentional melody.

Keep them coming

Next time maybe it's also better if you upload your song somewhere else with a direct download. That's easier to re-re-re-re-rewind when reviewing wink.gif

PegaSus
Having a quick listen now:

As Thijsje mentioned the bassline needs to be fixed,, it's more of a lead then a proper bassline. I like the open hihat, but needs to be soften down in volume i think. And indeed the clap can use a little gain. The Arp is pretty strong! That and the lead around 2:35 should really stay,, sounds pretty good! It indeed could use more effects and a proper build-up and outro. I notice your capable off putting some variations in the kick and the whole tune in general. . you need to keep on practisting with it mate, be really critical to yourself. Update this track, and post it on UKTA again!

Looking forward it.

I like this song, there's a lot of goodness in it. Some samples are good, some could be better (I agree with PegaSus and Thijsje). Keep up the good work.

Thank you for such a comprehensive and detailed critique!!

My plan is to re-work the drums and a deepening up of the bassline.

Naturally, it will be DJ friendly by the time I finish!! 123yahoo.gif

you should try out propeller heads reason 3 and work everything out on it then move on to reason 4 i sill like 3 than 4 but threes loads more you can do in it and i think that reason you can rewire protools into it so i am going to have to see if this can be done am sure it can like as you can put acid pro into it just a matter of doing it correctly i guess but you need a good system to run them all at once or ull end up crashing ur system like it did on me till i upgraded

If you can work with it, 1 system should be enough tongue.gif
