I've just been looking through the Classics Downloads Area and it seems to be one of the more popular areas of the site. Now that we are well on the 4th pages of various mixes and three of us posting regually in there, i think it would look alot better if we could perhaps order the sets in some way.
I was thinking perhaps group them up by the year or artist, it will make it easier for people to look through and easier for the posters to see what sets have been posted so save duplicating threads.

Also giving Iannelson some server space so he can upload would be great.

Not many other sites have classics areas so this is without a doubt one of the strongest aspects of the site would be great to make it even better.

Any thoughts?

Think by year would be the best best bet.

you could have something like:

Pre 1998
1998 - 2000
2000 - 2003
2003 - Present

or even have a section for each individual year, not checked any of these classics in ages so definitely going to check some of them out!

Good idea Nick I think putting them into sub categories by year (as mentioned by Defusion) is the best bet. You could go one step further and also do them in order of genre but some mixes uploaded, like mine, have two/three different genre of DJ's so just by year I think is probably the easiest way.

Year by year works best for me aswell, probably not every individual year yet as its not that big! Something along the lines of what Jay put 4 or 5 subforums would be about right at the moment!

We will be up to 100 classic mixes by the end of today, thats got to be worth a mention in the next newsletter aswell

Good idea about the year sub sections, Also how about server uploaded sets and sets with links?? Seems the server upoads are growing thin on the ground. I know spce is the problem but just a thought

The server is maxed out space wise, so need to rotate files that are not so popular anymore.
