Hello campers!
Hope that you’ve all had a fantastic week! Here at Trackitdown Towers, we’ve been beavering away, busy as ever despite the distractions outside our window of the typical British summertime (sun, lightening, heavy rain then sun again… Oh, then some more lightening), whilst praying for some serious sunshine this weekend for Kiddstock 2008, which we are very proud to be powering this year!
If you’re travelling up (or down) to Thimbleberry Farm in picturesque Durham this weekend, you’re obviously going to need some stellar tunes to get your lugs around on the journey, so once again we’ve picked out a cracking selection of the great and the greatest this week for you, to help you celebrate yet another cracking August weekend of party madness and reckless abandon!
Let battle commence…

House:
Steve Mac - Paddys Revenge' - 3Beat Blue
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/house/track/638314.html
Steve Mac has struck gold with this one! This is a massive dancefloor favourite this summer, and has been picking up plays left, right and centre, especially on Radio 1, where Annie Mac has been singing it's praises! This will light a fuse on the dancefloor - guaranteed!

Techno:
Reaky - Republic of Oxygen (Peppelino Remix) - Penetration Nation Records
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/techno/track/666337.html
Wow, what a great release this is! Two of the most impressive new artists on the techno circuit over the past 12 months Reaky and Peppelino, on the same release! Peppy delivers the remix which is as you'd expect a big tribal and funky affair with amazing production! Keep an eye on this label!

Electronica:
Late of the Pier - Space and the Woods (Switch Remix) – Ministry Of Sound UK
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/electroni...ack/659406.html
Late of the Pier are media darlings at the moment. Their quirky take on electronic psychedelia and blistering live performance has garnered support from all quarters. As if that wasn't enough, Switch delivers an epic 8 minutes of swirling beats and oil projector inspired psych-rock to push this into the premier league.

Trance:
4 Strings - Catch A Fall – Maelstrom Records
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/trance/track/663986.html
Epic doesn't even come close to this trance monster from one of the biggest artists of all time. The vocal is historic in its magnitude! Coming complete with the whole package of remixes including DJ Choose, club, house, progressive and this... one of the best remixes of a trance anthem we've had for a long time. Magnificent!

Tech House:
Picotto & Papini - Gonna Get Ya – Big In Ibiza
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/tech_hous...ack/666248.html
Take the vocal from Mauro Picotto 'Lizard (Gonna Get Ya)' and plaster it on top of the stunning Church of Nonsense which currently has support from Digweed, Van Stroke and all the other big guns in the world of cool tech and you have a worldwide smash! The groove won't stop rising! AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

Hard Dance:
Paul Glazby - Hostile (Grady G rmx) – Vicious Circle
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/hard_danc...ack/663702.html
Adelaide's Grady G resides on the second part VCR070 & this being his first release on Vicious Circle he's chosen a belter to remix. The seminal 'Hostile' by Glazby has been one of the biggest sellers for Vicious Circle & Grady has remixed it to perfection & added even more power than the original had (if that’s possible!). Refreshed!

Breaks:
Evil Nine - The Live! - Marine Parade
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/breaks/track/660564.html
It's been a few years since Evil Nine tore the place up with their amazing You Can Be Special Too (check it if you're new to the scene!) but They Live! proves it's been worth the wait. The highlight of the recent Adam Freeland Essential Mix this is epic. You'll find yourself singing this for ever. We Want Your Soul for 2008.

Drum And Bass:
Subwave – Think - Shogun
http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/drum_and_...ack/645487.html
Russia's most versatile producer and DJ and newest addition to the Metalheadz family. Goldie was so impressed with Subwave's music that he made him first non-UK artist to have a release on prestigious Metalheadz Platinum imprint. Clearly our man Friction thinks exactly the same and has been rewarded by this awesome double debut.
