Label: Levare Recordings
Release Date: TBA
The fourth release on Levare Recordings is a collaboration between producers Amurai (Manvel Ter-Pogosyan) and Mike Saint-Jules. Besides the awesome original version of ‘Grand Prix’, we have a great uplifting Digitalis Airride remix for you as well!
Original Mix
Mike Saint-Jules is doing alright isn't he? His second release on Levare, not bad for someone who was unheard of not long ago. The follow-up to 'Sunlid Clouds' is definitely more uplifting than his previous release, but personally speaking I don't think it sounds as well produced. The synth introduced right at the start of the song sounds old-fashioned and the pad used as the main element of the song (in my opinion) doesn't sound quite right in the background. Still all the elements are there, which leads me to the remix...

...which takes all that and perfects it. The bass has much more intention and the piano element is used to much greater effect. Once we get to the breakdown, the main pad sounds brilliant. I don't know if he's tweaked the original or used his own, but it sounds so much better and makes the anticipation for the chorus so much bigger. When the beat does break back, euphoria is at maximum and the melody is done justice. Absolutely superb.
Rating:
The original is flawed, but the remix corrects that.
