Only when the Grand and Scottish National is on will I put a bet on the horses mate wink.gif

Definately a fan here! I'm fortunate enough to have quite a few racecourses on my doorstep - we hop across the water to Aintree for the Grand National each year, Chester is always a good laugh and there's also Bangor-on-Dee which not too many people have heard about! Going to Cheltenham for the first time later in the year as part of a mates stag weekend celebrations too thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

It can be a pretty expensive day (especially with my betting skills laugh.gif) but it's always good fun and ladies day has to be seen to be believed!

Any other horse racing fans on here?

Yeah Gaz my beting skills are not to be desired too tongue.gif. n Dangerously I have just started a William Hill online account .. lol, there goes all my money down the drain !!

Im not going to get carried away dont worry tongue.gif

I am lined up to go to Ascot next month which is going to be an awesome day, unfortunatly not ladies day though ohno-smiley02.gif(

I am considering £10 to enter the Tote Ten To Follow which starts this week, its like the fantasy football version of horse racing lol. Something else to waste money on whilst footie season is over smile.gif

Oh Oh, im getting addicted 123thumbdown.gif

Beginners luck you may say, with £200 in the pocket from ascot yesterday & a handy amount in from today, I may be getting dragged into the bookies large net tongue.gif

i know it sounds funny and a bit silly to say, but seriously be careful

betting is one of the most addictive things that can happen to you should you start doing it too often

i use paddy power myself, and im very careful i dont bet on things too often. the euros have got me betting a fair bit again, but you can seriously be sucked in and start betting way too much at times. you just have to say when the things you wanted to bet are are done that you dont find other stuff to bet on.

winning can often be one of the worse things! especially if you win early in your betting life

Y`know ricksta, your right! I can completly understand how some people can get addicted so quickly. Well my winnings from ascot are all gone, gladly not on more gambling but on the boring things in life like Petrol lol.

The euro`s have had me gambling a little too, once they are over I dont think there will be much more gambling. I have £50 in my betfair account which will go on small footie bets and maybe more horse racing.

Im one of the lucky ones thought mate, I know how to say no when they going gets tough !!

Completely agree mate, this betting lark can be quite dangerous haha!

Fortunately i'm pretty sensible when push comes to shove, was at Chester races at the weekend and made a point of doing all my bets online before I went, just so there was no risk of me spending my winnings whilst still at the course haha!

Gave me extra time for drinking between races aswell! laugh.gif
