Five games to go, who is going to take the title?
Even though I am a Man Utd fan I can't believe so many of the pundits think that the league is done and dusted. United have a far tougher run in than both Arsenal and Chelsea, and we have seen in recent months that a three point lead is nothing.
I am really nervous about the run in, but hopefully with Arsenal being deflated from the Champions League exit this week that United can win on Sunday. Won't be easy though as Arsenal always raise their game at Old Trafford.
Chelsea should have a handy one on Monday against Wigan.
I'll be glad when the season is over so the blood pressure can go down again.

The way Man U are playing though mate I cant see you dropping many points, if any ! This week however, for the fantasy football, I have removed Ronaldo from my Captain spot and replaced with Lampard, cos as you say, it should be a walk in the park for chelsea this wknd.
Annoyed that Villa couldnt hold out for the european slot though

Man United should have enough in them to finish the job now, especially if they get any sort of result against Arsenal

I as an unbiased person wanted Arsenal to win. Would be more intersting end of the league.
However, Man U is playing the most attractive football this season IMO. They deserve to win the league.

Thought man u were lucky to win the game, Arsenal didn't deserve to lose.
Think mau u will win the league though, but over the season as a whole still think Arsenal play the best football. But, then again it comes down to trophies rather than how good football you play.

Gallas = idiot !! If your going to handball it so blatantly, why do it in your own penalty box ??!! I hope venger gave him a good telling of for that one, thier game went downhill from there ! Ronaldo was not as useful as he normally is, and what a superb free kick eh ?!

haha as an arsenal fan im laughing at the state of the team at the moment. there are so many question marks over some players in the team, such as bendtner, gallas and senderos. bendtner is just an oaf, as is senderos, but gallas..............jesus the only thing i can say about him is wtf mate? he must have been paid for just being such a spanner. he's so liable to making mistakes now its untrue.
wenger has said something about signing an experienced player (hopefully a support striker that can score lots of goals and leave room for adebayor + bendtner to shape up); but imo opinion arsenal need to have a centre back, i don't see us signing one though.
most teams establish a solid first team before they start bringing in up and coming talent, but arsenal at the moment are relying on them :S

A lot has been said about Arsenal's problems this week by a multitude of pundits so I will attempt not to repeat anything they have talked about.
But for me, the biggest and most obvious flaw in the side is not ability, it is their self-belief. If you look at their main competitors, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool. they all play different styles of football, but the one thing they all have in common is a group of leaders. With United you have people like Rooney, Ferdinand and Vidic, with Liverpool you have Gerrard and Carragher, with Chelsea you have Terry, Lampard and Drogba. Real leaders of men who can galvanise their team-mates when the going gets tough. Arsenal do not seem to have that. Fabregas tries but he is not enough of a shouter to motivate those playing alongside him. Gallas has shown a dreadful example as a football club captain, steming back to the incident against Birmingham in February. On that day he sat down on the pitch and sulked, what sort of message is that supposed to give out to your team-mates and manager?
If I was Wenger the first thing I would do in the summer would be to go out and buy Richard Dunne - someone to give them that leadership and ability at the back. Yes they have missed people this season, but the injuries have shown up how thin their squad is. Man Utd were the same last year - they spent the last two months of the season running on empty and barely crossed the finishing line in the league, and went out with a whimper in Europe to a poor Milan side. Now this year they have managed to cope with injuries, particularly with Vidic in the past couple of weeks, and look in good shape for the league and Champions League.
Still in shock over the Chelsea-Wigan game on Monday night. But my goodness Chelsea were dreadful, the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge was like a funeral. Their past two home games have shown that their fans have little or no passion for their football club, and this is sickening. The club is so artificial, they play the most negative football out of the top sides which for the neutral, you do not want to see rewarded. Liverpool must have loved seeing how Chelsea performed on Monday, they will now fancy their chances against them in the Champions League semi.
Two big games coming up, Everton vs. Chelsea and Blackburn vs. Man Utd. United have a notoriously terrible record at Ewood Park in recent seasons, so it will still be a nervy Saturday evening. But hopefully they can show enough quality to do it.

Still think United will retain the title Chelsea face a difficult away trip to inform Newcastle but its going to be alot closer than we all thought a few weeks ago!

Haha that would suit me perfectly matey, would certainly shut up a few of my bluenose mates who were harping on about taking 4th this year!
Close call out of the top two, have a feeling that United will win the League but Chelsea will win Champions League, or it could be vice versa, highly doubt either side will win both trophies

Cannot underestimate the relief of that second goal going in yesterday! Very fortunate at times with refereeing decisions that could have gone either way, but thankfully they pulled through.
I see Chelsea have wasted no time getting the chequebook out this morning, they have agreed a £16.1 million fee with Jose Bosingwa, who had been linked with United in the past few months.
Don't know if the momentum from yesterday can be carried to Moscow. Chelsea are hard to predict, they were so flat yesterday against Bolton, very much like they were against Wigan a month ago. But when it comes to the big games, they always seem to produce.
Regardless, winning the league is still a wonderful achievement.

If Terry and Drogma miss the final then United have got to be strong favourites imo
They deserved the league they played some excellent football throughout the season but Chelsea will be strong and well capable as shown in recent result against Man United with a full team they are more than a match.
Personally i think the Champions League final is going to be boring and as tight as anything because thats how Chelsea will play

Rumours are that Steve Bennett also got a title winners medal for his refereeing decisions this year
Begrudging congrats to Man United from me, difficult to say as a Liverpool fan but over the course of the season they have certainly been the best side
