Due to HUGE demand, Sander Van Doorn and Stonebridge's re-rubs of Sia's track 'The Girl You Lost To Cocaine' is now set for a full UK release! With support already rolling in across the board from Axwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and Carl Cox to name a few, expect this to blow up!
Sander's mix is all deep and techy beats with massive riffs and large slices of chopped up Sia vocals plus that huge break. Featuring as a bonus track on his hugely successful artist album 'Supernaturalistic', this cut complements the offerings from Stonebridge, who goes deeper too but adds a techy string driven, electro-disco edge to it all.
Sander Van Doorn Remix
If you've been clubbing anytime recently and you haven't heard this, you're going to the wrong clubs. Typical Sander funky bass grooves, and a breakdown that takes the roof in a way that only he can do. There's not a lot to this, in fact it's pretty much an example of how to make a song last purely by adjusting the filter amount of effect on each mini-break. That said this does the job nicely; I've played this out myself and got a rather nice response.
Stonebridge Remix & Dub
The first 30 seconds of these versions are identical to SVD's remix, so not knowing the original song I'm assuming that was already present. Stonebridge has offered two much housier and happier alternatives that dp the job, but offer nothing new. Structurally, the vocal and dub are pretty much exactly the same and would fit in well in a regular club set or a house-specific event.
Rating:
