Man of the moment Tom Colontonio is back once again with yet another smash hit, but this time under his Dj Tommyboy Guise.
After the massive success of a number of his projects in 2007 including work on leading labels Vandit & Discover this is his debut release for Infrasonic and what a way to open your account. Uplifting trance from start to finish.

Taking the reigns for Remix one is another of the scenes emerging talents Ben Gold and what an absolute monster it is. Driving trance from the start with a sensational breakdown showing just why this guy is in such high demand, this is a must for all trance lovers.

Remix two comes courtesy of Polish sensations Anguilla project and Czech heavyweight Ronny K for yet another sublime take on the original. Beautifully written trance showing just why these guys have became such big figures in such a short space of time in the scene.

Three more remixes complete the package. The first from Italian producer Tragida with his superbly written interpretation. The second from Danish producer Kilholm and the third from another of infrasonics up and coming producers Andy Tau with a chunky progressive number for those who prefer a more house orientated affair.

My first review for Infrasonic! Thanks to Michael Smith of Infrasonic who gave me this opportunity smile.gif
An awesome label ran by Michael Smith [UK DJ] and Sebastiaan Spang [Six Senses], which released the brilliant Andrelli & Blue ft Hila - Imagine! One of my favourite vocal tracks this year already. Enjoy the review of this nice upcoming release:

All samples made by me, and during 2:00 minutes.

Review:

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Original Mix)

If i'm correct i saw in the ID tags of the mp3 file it was made back in 2006. Not sure if that's correct to be honest. But well that took a while to get it released then.
Always enjoy the work of mr Colontonio. This track really reminds me of some work from Sean Tyas. Really a minimalistic climax, with nothing more than a bassline, synth, percussion + kick. Some might find this one quite boring i guess. But if you like this style it's a quality track! Not the best mix from the package though. Listen to the samples to find out smile.gif

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Ben Gold Remix)

Discover artist Ben Gold made his way into the trance scene already too. His name pops up quite frequent on several releases nowadays. He always delivers quality trancers, and this one is no exception to add to that list. Said in the feedback form for this release, that this is the best remix out of the bunch. In my opinion he fixed the original mix into a peak uplifter! He just added some more power to the melody! Quality remix! Should be played loudly smile.gif

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Ronny K & Anguilla project Remix)

Hey another Anguilla project remix? Damnit these Polish lads are really busy at the moment. Just released stuff on Discover and Real Music. Now they return with a smasher on Infrasonic! Always quite surprised how those guys find inspiration in there work. This track got some fresh synths and percussion in the build-up, really like it! Altough i find the climax pretty messy, and hardly difference from the build-up in my opinion. Still a really decent trancer! Nice work again from the Polish.

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Tragida Remix)

Dario Lupo aka Tragida worked his way into the scene too. Think the last thing i've heard from him was his remix on Saint Rush - Burning Red Skies [Camouflage], which was quite nice! This remix is totally different in style, which kinda shows how easily he can change his way of remixing! Yes this remix suits this package very well! Really close to the original, but still sounding fresh and a joy to listen to. He actually could have tried to bring in more variation in the remix, cause i don't think this one will stand-out of the original mix that much. Check the samples to find out yourself.

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Kilholm Remix)

Haha they apparently made a mistake in the alias from "Mads Kiholm" ,, it is Kiholm instead of Kilholm. Not a big deal, but could sound a bit "unprofessional" for the remixer in question. After his fine remix of Rozza's - Never never land [Neuroscience Recordings] this Danish guy returns with a smasher of a remix! Think i didn't listened to this one properly enough cause i just said the Ben Gold remix is my favourite. Think i even prefer this one! He really turned this remix in an up-to-date sounding uplifter! I assume this one get's the most support from the big dj's. Very uplifting and well produced! Love it.

Dj Tommyboy - The Insider (Andy Tau Remix)

The last remix from the package is made by Andy Tau an UK based producer who had his work released on the famous Progrez and Monster Tunes labels! This is the only progressive mix in this release. Really not the biggest progressive trance fan around here, but i quite enjoyed this one! Quite a standard build-up with a supersawish lead which u hear more often in this style. The break is a beauty for sure, really nice job there. Those strings work out pretty good. A shame the climax is a bit cliche, with a "nintendo" arp on the melody. But neverless i guess the progressive trancers on this board will like it smile.gif

Conclusion:

Infrasonic is quite new in the scene, but already an upcoming label to keep your eyes on in my opinion! This one comes actually in only two flavours "5 Uplifters and One Progressive Trancer." Still all those remixes divers from eachother a bit. I'm sure you guys pick one as your personal favourite! Really looking forward the next release on Infrasonic! -PegaSus out-
