David Newsum is a new name for me in the scene, but was quite thrilled to see this release was co produced by Activa, which is a top producer at the moment. Also it's already spun by no one less then Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond in their weekly amazing popular radio shows! No doubt this is gonna be huge!

David Newsum - From Dubai With Love

When i first heard of this release scheduled, i thought this is gonna be another Discover track with the same "Sean Tyas" ingredients. What was i wrong! This must be the best track they signed for a long time. From the begin to end you will be surprised by all the elements this track has to offer. A top notch trancer, which really has the "anjunabeats" uplifting feeling over it. No wonder it's been the web vote winner of TATW. From the little arps in the break to the powerfull climax you will turn the volume up to 10 and start dancing like it's saturday night. Pure quality! Listen to yourself! You won't be dissapointed with this one.

David Newsum - Sand Dune

Actually the real surprise came with this track on the b-side! Sand Dune is even better then From Dubai With Love! This is really an uplifter how it should be! As i said in my notes on FDWL this one really reminds me of work from the anjunabeats label! The build-up , "hands in the air" break, and the climax are the same! Never expected this release to be on Discover to be honest. I'm glad they did though, probably to get the label some fresh positive look. Back to the track, this one should be played loud too. And i'm currently repeating this track in my mediaplayer haha. Addictive track for sure! Please listen to the samples mates.

Conclusion:

One of the finest tracks i've seen on discover this year. Got the stamp "Quality" on both tracks from me. I've heard a lot of people already been in love with From Dubai With Love,, which thoughts i completely support. Altough the real surprise came from Sand Dune! An even better track in my books. Rob Stevenson [Activa] did it again, was already in love with "Remember" on Paul van Dyk's Vandit label. But he once again proves himself to be playing a long in the top! Damn From Dubai With Love sounds ace breakdown kinda reminds of of some classics released on Anjunabeats

Nice reviews as always mate. 'FDWL' is probably my favourite of the two although 'Sand Dune' is also very nice. Definately very Anjunabeats sounding like you say. 'Sand Dune' reminds me a bit of Alt+F4 - 'Alt-F4' from a few years ago.
