It's that time again folks, after finishing what only seems like five minutes ago, the F1 World Championship starts again this weekend! 123clap.gif

What's everybody's tip for this year then? Will it be a straight showdown between Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton, or will Fernando Alonso recapture his form of old now he's back in the Renault? Kovalainen and Rosberg could also be good bets - whatever happens it's sure to make for another exciting season, hopefully free of last years controversy!

I hope its really close again this year, which i can see it being and without all the needless drama and backstabbing of last season.

I think personally it will be down to the early races for Alonso, if he can fit in with the Renault and gain some early points and keep pace with Hamilton and Raikkonen then he will stand a great chance.

I wouldn't like to call it this year at all
TranceHeini
ferrari FTW !!!! tongue.gif and also a lot german driver i wish them good luck for this season.
Dodds
Hopfully we will see another closely contested championship. Ultimately I would like to see Hamilton win but im sure both Ferarri and Renault will not go down without a fight. Should be good if Renault overcome the reliability problems they had last season and we will see all three of the major teams battling it out.
jovialchris
mclaren ftw... only b/c i always used one in need for speed

since michael schumacher left formula1 i'm not interested in. but i guess that FERRARI will win this year. as you saw FERRARI

Ferrari are looking dominant this year, another good result for Raikkonen yesterday!

Still early days in the season though!

yeah too bad for kimi... and congrats to mc laren mercedes for hamiltons agressive strategy

Kimi was so close to Hamilton in last laps, I was expecting Kimi to go past him but unfortunately it didn't happen smile.gif
I was amazed with McLaren's tactics, 3 pitstops were unnecessary, Hamilton could've won with just 2. And poor Kovalainen, anyone knows what happened with him in the beginning (he had to come to pitstop very early to change front-tires) ?

yeah they said kovalainen drove through some things from the accident in the first round
so he had to change the tires so early

Monaco GP was fantastic! it took my breath away.

French grand prix. it was a very boring race. rain was expected but it did not rain.

no rain, no safety car.

I believe if McLaren were leading, we would have seen the safety car to the disadvantage of McLaren. smile.gif

Yeah, it was a bit boring. Mainly because Ferrari had it in the bag from the start. No one was anywhere near competive enough. Hopefully the British GP this weekend can bring some good excitement. smile.gif
murkinen
Races with rainy conditions are always thrilling, and British Grand Prix was not an exception.

After rainy Monaco Grand Prix, British GP has been the second best of the year in my opinion. In every lap, there was action. Hamilton had a great drive and won the race. I thought Kovalainen would get the second place but he could not.

Barrichello's performance was extraordinary with his weak Honda.

by the way, I would like to thank Massa for the great "Spin Show" rolleyes.gif
Skint
Yeah murkinen I agree, Silverstone may not be the best looking track of the season, but when it gets a splash of typical UK weather the course is awesome. Rain always makes for a good GP. Your right, along with Monoico this was one of the most entertaining to watch.

Fair play to hamilton for holding out so long, and finally winning by well over a minute smile.gif
TranceHeini
great race by heidfeld smile.gif
rexijis
awesome racing from lewis hamilton in such a condition thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Dodds
Could be quite an exciting race today with McLaren and Ferrari both looking strong.

and he was first until round 67 -.- f**king s**t engine damage sad.gif

TranceHeini
now its done yaaaahhhh!!
Kake
I think Kimmi got a bad luck.... in the next race he will bounce back happy.gif . It will be close competition in the end between Kimmi, Massa & Hamilton.
Skint
I was hoping for a really exciting race on the new spanish valencia circuit, all the preliminary races made it look very promising with plenty of overtaking and crashing against walls etc... even the grid laps for the grand prix had them sliding all over the place... but then the race itself was actually quite boring sad.gif
