DJ Transformer has been in the DJ business since 1995. His first track "push it" went number 5 in the German dance charts already in 1996. Under his artist name he released numerous tracks such as "The Latin Rhythm" and "Ecstasy". Ecstasy was a club hit especially in Germany and Switzerland. Many other productions had success in the charts as well. Moreover the trance compilation " Trance ClassX" compiled by DJ Transformer was released in 2003 including tracks from Paul van Dyk, Energy 52 and Quench. In the course of the last years Transformer developed his style more and more towards a mere trance act which is also underlined by his latest project "Transformer on Maui-Haleakala"!

Well my first review for Redux Recordings! Quite pleased to be on there promo list. What a quality label that is. This release is a wonderfull summerish trancer with a nice guitar riff and comes in three flavours. Rene Ablaze [Rene Bos] is the owner of Redux Recordings and i would like to thank him for this great opportunity. Haleakala is a shield Volcano which forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. It means " house of the sun ".

Transformer On Maui - Haleakala (Original Mix)

This track really reminds me of a Dj Shah production. You can clearly hear his influence in the build-up and especially in the break of this track. Powered by some laidback guitar riff and a great lead in the background. I guess many people will really enjoy this version the most because of the "shah" feeling all over it. I'm totally in love with this one. Quality trancer with a balearic touch! Listen to the samples and decide yourself! You won't be dissapointed.

Transformer On Maui - Haleakala (Cosmo & Pedro Del Mar Remix)

Ahh such a great name to see on this release. Pedro del mar definitely needs no introduction anymore. The big brother of Dj shah produced many tracks and remixes already. This one has a electroish bassline, which i honestly not really like. Think most producers are putting such bassline in there productions nowadays. It's a real hype imo, which perhaps is a lack of inspiration? Who knows. smile.gif
Despite the bassline this is a really fine remix, great use of the elements from the original version. And a fantastic break this one got. Reminds me of "Purple Mood - One Night In Tokyo " in some way. The climax is really powerfull which really is a Pedro Del Mar thingy! Great remix, altough still prefer the original mix!

Transformer On Maui - Haleakala (Rene Ablaze Remix)

At last the remix made by the owner of Redux Recordings. This one is a real uplifter! A great addition to this release. The build-up is really powerfull and reminded me of Ron van Den Beuken productions! The break as you can hear in the sample is what an uplifter needs! I don't think this one is gonna be my favourite remix, but the original mix is really hard to beat. All i can say that this one definitely deserves some spin time. Listen to the samples and make your own opinion!

Conclusion:

Three really powerfull trancers on this release! I think most people will prefer the original mix also like me. I can't imagine someone would call this bad! Great release! I don't know any release date, will post it here when i discovered it smile.gif
