Label: DJSA Records

Release Date: 10th December 2007

London Producers Luke Warner & Mat Lock make their debut on DJSA Records with the huge "Deep Psychosis". A driving 138bpm Trancer with Psy-Trance references forms the Original Mix, while Denmarks Daniel Kandi delivers a fantastic Uplifting alternative with the flipside "Cure" Mix. The final release of 2007 for DJSA Records, and a great way to finish off the year.

Original Mix
It's clear to see from the off why this song was called "Deep Psychosis". The psy-trance influences are present from the off, the pounding 4-4 bassline standing out. There's nothing too fancy production-wise here, just old-skool trance breakdowns that remind you of the good times we've all had back in the day. A big synth tops off the percussion elements in great fashion that highlights how well the song has been produced. In lesser hands this could have easily sounded cheesy and outdated, but the production quality means it all works very well together.

Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix
Kandi's stuff has been a bit predictable of late. All his songs and remixes are very well produced, but they're all way too similar for my liking. For this remix at last he has come up with something different, and I'm glad to say it's not a bad thing. He's not hanging around with the buildup, a tough bass and percussion make sure the audience is taking note. A beautiful breakdown follows and produces a typical Anjuna-sounding (again not in a bad way) uplifting chorus. None of his typical synthy riffs, just melodic trance at its best.

Rating:
Well produced euphoric trance, Daniel Kandi's mix in particular is superb.
8/10
