Just a quickie to see if anyone is playing Call Of Duty 4 yet.

I got this the other day for the xbox 360 and must say its simply superb !!!! The xbox live online system is brilliant too, so many hours ahead sat infront of the plasma.

Oh and Frant1c, you can shush shush about PC games

1 was absolute enormous
2 was bad with online playing

I hope 4 will be awesome with online playing, don't have the time for it right now so I hope that time will come soon

Xbox gaming is my stress relief after a days work... always try n fit atleast 30 mins in per day

COD 2 was an awesome single player campaign though wasnt it !!! GET COD4 asap mate, you`ll love it

I have heard some amazing things about this game. Defo gonna get a hold of it sometime. Just not had a chance to get to the shops tho. I bet the Live play is something special.

Very very good game! Graphics are mint on the PC (yet to try the xbox version) Would recommend this to anyone regardless!
Another good game to try is Crysis (again pc version) << the graphics on this truly are amazing from the ripples in the water to a single blade of grass... go out and get it!

COD4 is simply a top, top game! I'm a bit of a latecomer to the COD series, but bought COD4 for the PS3 and have to say i've become absolutely hooked!

Off to buy Assassin's Creed today as well!

Im playing it on Veteran ( Hardest level )... I just got to a mission where im a sniper... im alongside my partner when we blow a helicopter out of the sky by shooting the pilot through his face ... the heli goes out of control and the blades of the shopper crash into my partner, whom for the rest of the level I have to carry on my shoulder, that is until the enemy arrive at various intervals ( including alsation attack dogs hehe )... you have to position your partner strategically so he can help you defend... then end of this level has you planting claymore mines along a fairground scene, enemy choppers deploy hundreds of enemy troups...

SNIPE BANG SNIPE BANG SNIPE KILL KILL KIL KILLLLLLllllllllllll !!!!

Lol.. you get the idea... this bit had me stuck for about an hour !!!! I crapped myself everytime lol

The gfx are amazing, absolutely no lag, enemy AI changes everytime you play so you cant " get ready "... got to be one of the greatest games for the 360 so far

Online is just as sweet as the single player version too.

I dont wanna start a 360 vs ps3 war here ( or do i ).. but apparently the 360 version kicks ass against the ps3 version. Ive seen them both being played alongside each other in Virgin stores last week... tbh I didnt notice too much diff, but then I only watched for a few mins as I was waiting for the dude to bring me my COD4 Assassins Creed does look pretty cool though.!!

Why o Why are ps3 and 360 games soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive I want to play em all !!!

So I stopped it for a moment because I don't want to finish this game too soon because it is so great to climb on everything you can see

After a good few hours I have to say im absolutely loving it. Not got all that far story-wise as yet. Only killed the first target. Ive just been enjoying doing all the investigations, climbing to all the viewpoints etc.

+1 Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda......so addictive

Hey dont badmouth the Wii, its a great console they games don't look as stunning as COD4 put they play brilliantly with very few faults.

My brother has an Xbox 360 with Assassins Creed it is a very good game, some of the detail is spectacular.

Think sometime next year i'll invest in a PS3 when all the decent games come out and the price drops a little

^^ I gotsta admit ..some of the games on the WII look great fun, and good exercise too I went to a trade-show when the launch of the wii was happening, watched a huge bunch of kids playing the boxing game, so funny seeing them punching the air

Still not sure about the ps3, has anybody here played online with it, and how does it compare to Xbox Live. I have to admit it, microsoft got it bang on with xbox live, a huge jump in online gaming. As far as GFX go, the ps3 hasnt really out-shone any other console yet has it...

Just bought CoD4 today! Although not played it yet as its GDJB/ASOT day so music top priority at present.

Completed the Single player campaign... on Veteran, jeez some bits were amazingly hard !! At the end of the game, after the credits come up ( so dont switch off ) there is an extra little 1 minute mission for you to complete... and its IMPOSSIBLE !!

Veteran level? Here, I'll do the jokes mate.

To be honest, there have been moments where ive been struggling on regular difficulty. Not sure im quite ready for veteran yet. Great game tho. Some amazing moments. I was just about s**tting myself at the bit when you have to lie down in the field and not move as the group of soldiers walk past you.

Haha thats the sniper level isnt it.. omg you must of lay in some of my crap left there previously lol, awesome level. The fairground ending was soooooo hard !! Now ive completed the single player missions, ill try and put a few hours in Online and try to get up the world rankings, have you played online yet ??.. its wicked cos you have achievments to do to level up etc

Have to say i'm absolutely hooked on COD4 at the moment! Was going to buy AC a few weeks back but i've put that on hold so it can be an Xmas present to myself hehe!

I've been going through the single player missions mostly - don't think i'm quite up to reaching veteran level yet though!

In terms of XBOX 360 vs PS3 debate, i'm not really in a position to comment as I think i've only ever been on an XBOX 360 once or twice

I bought the PS3 back in May, simply because i've always been a Playstation kid, and I had a bit of flash cash to spend! Can't say i've been at all disappointed with it so far, but the one thing you do constantly hear is that the 360's online stuff is far superior, so I hope Sony get round to sorting it out!

As for the WII, i'm still recovering from the injuries I picked up playing boxing and bowling round at my mates booze up at the weekend!

Haha Gaz, I do amit myself that the one thing the wii is good at, is having a laugh with a bunch of mates... not necessarily the game your playing, but just watching them make complete twats of themselves whilst trying to swing a punch etc lol.. good fun whilst drunk indeed

One question for ya lad...

How in the name of all thats holy did you manage to do that bit in the fairground on veteran level? Stuck there myself at the moment.

OMG its sooooooooooo hard isnt it.. well, i sort of cheated a bit..

After you have set all your claymore mines etc... and await the first set of helicopters... you can then Leggit back towards the buildings where you came from, if you head to the left hand side ( previously you would have seen loads of baddies run from this area ) you will be able to set back into the building in the corner, this way...any dudes that wanna shoot you HAVE no choice but to come up close n get you.. they tend to stay nearer the fairground though, so you can get a sniper rifle out and pick em off one by one... you will have the odd dog n dude come looking for you though, but it made the level sooo much easier

Eventually your back-up arrive, just leggit into the chopper... dont forget to collect your injured mate before though !!

It took me AGES to figure out how to do that.. monsterously hard lvl.

What i forgot to say mate, is that... when I first tried this level I expected to have to protect the injured man ( sry cant remember his name )/... but anyways, you dont have to, just leave him to it, he can sort himself out... the only time you need to save him is at the end when you leggit towards the chopper.

Legend mate, that worked a treat first time round. That had to be one of the most frustrating bits ive encountered so far.

The level after that where you have to fight your way downhill to the chopper in 3 mins is awesome. Certainly got the adrenaline pumping.

I have it great game love the single player missions not a big fan of the multiplayer. I like halo 3 online myself it is hard to go from one to the other.

POLAR.. I know what you mean about playing online and swapping from one game to the other. I have a few friends who absolutely LOVE PGR4 and invite me to play online all the time, I also have friends who play HALO3 all the time and invite me to play... at the moment my time is spent playing COD4 online...

.. i find that I can only really play one game at a time, otherwise your just not good enough to play all three hehe. Also just dont have enough time in the day to play more than one Whilst I am climbing the world rankings on one game, im falling considerably on the others etc... quite frustrating

Glad I am not the only one. The only problems that I have with cod4 is the melee and the you can't shoot with out aiming. I think those two are what make it so difficult.

Yeah, finished it on Thursday. Going through it again on veteran level now. There are some mega hard bits on veteran. Like the part in the TV station...took me about 100 attempts to get past.

Holy s**t.. thats one tough bit for sure, and wait until you get back to the fairground bit

I rarely use the xbox for gaming but had a go yesterday, d/l demos, setting up my profile etc (although its a bit gay at the moment) and slowly but surely getting the hang of it. I feel slightly embarassed actually, we've had the xbox for a year now and ive only just started using it properly Oh well..
