Sunday Break is Airwave's newest single and at the same time the last single from his highly acclaimed album Triloqigue which was released last year and got named trance album of the year by Paul Van Dyk!!! This single comesin 3 flavours, first of all the original mix with breaks, a ool DJ Koris & DJule Remix and last but not least a brand new remix by the master himself giving you a little taste of his new upcoming album which will be released around the end of 2007/early 2008. An album that promised to change the trance scene as we know it today all over again and giving it a boost as never before!!!

All samples made by me, and during 2:00 minutes.

Well well,, L-Vee certainly doesn't need an introduction here! He's one of the biggest producers still kicking the trance scene! Truly loving every release from him! Lolo , Cape Town , Airwave. This one is no exception. Don't expect a melodic monster like People Just Don't Care, but expect an awesome progressive trancer! Let's get started!

Airwave - Sunday Break - Beat Mix [09:28m]

Starts off really slow and easy, after one minute a pomping electroish bassline comes in. From there on it starts to build-up with more percussion, leads and effects. Around 3 minutes we got a small break, with a trancy pad + a very proggy bell sound, which you hear later on after the kick comes in. The 2nd break contains a metal like synth stag, which seems too techy for this kind of music, but fits very well. It does not really get's any further than that, but it certainly doesn't get repetive at all! A well done track which the prog lovers here gonna like a lot! Listen to the samples and decide yourself!

My Score: 7.5/10!

Airwave - Sunday Break - DJ Koris & DJule Remix [08:32m]

Hmm a Koris & Dj Jule remix? That must be great! Cause you probably heard there remix on Uriel -White Weed too, which was awesome! I could not wait to listen to this one. This is as expected a more trancier mix then Airwave's beat mix. A deep bassline, pads, percussion really sets the mood.. perfect buildup if you ask me.. Especially when on 2:50 the bell sounds comes in! thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
Later on in the break, you hear a "breakbeat" ,, dunno if that's from the original version, cause unfortunatly i don't own the Triloqigue CD. But i guess it's quite similar. [ Actually i hoped they put the Original version on the pool for reviewing too. But well i'm more than happy to review these tongue.gif ]
After the break there comes a synthline in! Quite simple melody but works well with the "bell sound"! This one should get more attention from the more uplifting trancers here! [Including me haha] Great remix again from this duo. Listen to the samples and decide yourself!

My Score: 8.0/10!!

Final Score: 7.7!!!

I usually like Airwave's productions, but this really doesn't ring my bell.

The melody isn't carrying the track all way through, and the production quality isn't as high as it could be.

Couldn't give as high as 7.7 for the release. Will not play this one.

airwave used the be TEH MAN, but i have to say i haven't really liked any of his productions in the last 3 years. well proglifter i did like.

he's just producing way too much, seems to release everything he makes without having much standards on melodies, rhythm, sounds or mixing.
