Well, (and excuse me, this is my first post so I'm OBVIOUSLY a n00b

) I listen to some emo, and some prog rock type stuff... In Flames is a wonderful melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden... I also rock some Nine Inch Nails. I listen to hardcore bands Gwen Stacy, Once Nothing, and a bit of ZAO.
And for people who enjoy both rock music and EDM, there's always Rammstein. Yeah, I know I'm gonna look like one of those people that don't know what music is: "HEY LOOK ITS HEAVY METAL IN GERMANESE WITH DRUMS THAT SOUND LIKE THEIR FROM FL STUDIO!!!111!1!!!1!!!!!!(sin x/cos x)!1!!11!1" But they really do have some nice work. And it's not like it's technical at all, I could probably play any one of their songs by ear, first time through. But they just sound good. And if I ever get DJ equipment, I'm gonna do some sweet remixes of their stuff.... haha.
So yeah... I don't really have an extensive knowledge of any kind of music genre, and I'm certainly not gonna pretend I know my way around trance music. But I'd say I have some fairly wide tastes.
So, anyone who says that EDM listeners are narrow-minded, suck on this.
