I'm off to Amsterdam with my wife for the first week of September.

I've been over a few times before but have never managed to find a bar, club or coffee shop that consistently plays good trance. Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough?

Anyway, can anyone recommend some good 'trance themed' bars, clubs or coffee shops that are within sensible walking distance of Centraal.

I'm not bothered about going to huge clubs.

Hrmm..I doubt that there is a "trance-theme" club/bar in Amsterdam. Try dropping by Leidseplein / Rembrandtplein. Well at least if none of the bars play trance there, they serve really good cocktails.

Or! You can always try in your request to the DJ. They might be playing Backstreet Boys, Michael Jackson etc etc initially...but you'll be surprised of their trance collection too!! Been there done that.

escape...sometime trance in there..... just be there on right time... check out amsterdam dance event middle of oct then the trance will flow

Everytime ive been to amsterdam ive never quite made it into a club, always too drunk to walk by 8pm lol. There is a decent club smack bang in the centre, but cant remember what its called, or even if its still there

There just aren't any "Trance-based" clubs in Holland, it's all about the events
