It is a must in central Florida. We have only two season fall which end of december to end of february and then it is summer the other 10 months. Not literally there is somewhat of a spring but it is only month and that is march and there is no winer it only gets down to 0 degrees Celcius once or twice a year. What i find odd is they ave heat on the school buses but no AC, yet up north they have both heat and AC.

I LOVE FLORIDA, and from what it sounds like P.O.L.A.R. I think I could handle the climate. The plus side from here in New Mexico, it's just dry heat, so we don't have to deal with all the humidity. But we are far from the ocean...

Ya the I havent had much of an expirience in dry heat but from i know it is dangerous. I will say this humidity and dry heat are two opposite worlds. You can just sit in the sun and the sweat pours from your glands.

Fo sho. I guess the upside here is that we can get away with swamp coolers as primary air conditioning. But in more humid climates, refrigerated cooling is the only way to go!
