Ok this site is great and all, becuase I can download anything, but the problem for me is, I can't hardly ever find the stuff to download. For example I was wanting to download DJ Tiesto @ The Point in Dublin. Ok so I went to the forum Member Trance DJ Mixes and typed in the search forum thing at the bottom of the page "tiesto the point" or "Tiesto - dublin." Also I want to search ATB music, can't do it, becuase of the stupid error.

And I get this error:

"One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters or you searched for words which are not allowed, such as 'html', 'img', etc, please go back and increase the length of these search keywords or choose different keywords."

Please ADMIN try to fix this problem and enable me to search anything. I was very happy about this web site when I paid for it but, now I am very upset and don't know what to do. Thank you.

Yeah i have the same problem occasionally

The problem I have is that if i decreased the search number to 3 it will slow down the forum. Everytime someone searches the server has to go through 300,000 posts, unless your doing a forum specific one.

Best thing to do is use the search bar supplied by google on the default skin at the top right below "my controls"

As i said, my main concern is to offer a reasonably fast service. And the search function on the forum has a major effect on the speed of the forum if i made it search for more words.

So i guess the only way is the google tool bar...

How much would it cost extra for you to upgrade the search so it does it faster and more effective?

The google search we have built into the site only searches results from uktrancealliance.com is naturally a better search function because its made by google, and on the worlds best servers.

Our search function is a large reason why I have to buy a dedicated server which I will be paying £1000 to keep for another 2 years. I can;t justify anymore spending as it would cost me too much money. Remember we are largely running a free site relying on donations and a small amount from advertising and legal mp3 sales.
