i personally think its rediculous to have united only in defence, goal and midfield (bar gerrard)

carvarlho/carragher/finnan deserved places imo. united defence hasnt been the best yet they hold every position. wtf.

think id have had rooney up front with drogba myself, but being a spurs fan i can appreciate how good berbatov has been this year.

would have considered fabregas in midfield, and cech in goal as well.

i think Van De Sar has made too many mistakes to deserve that spot in goal. I think fabregas would need to have a couple more goals
under his belt for him to be in the midfield spot here too. Midfield wise, it has been all about Man Utd this season.

Im an Arsenal fan and i wouldn't put any of them in this, good play can't really be celebrated without goals :/

The midfield is certainly justified, and I would even consider Michael Carrick as a replacement for Gerrard (I know you wont agree Rick) as Utd's midfield has been the best in the league this season bar none. The two strikers are also justified but I agree that the defence should not be made up entirely of Utd players. Whilst they've all played well this season, especially the new arrivals Evra and Vidic, there have been better defenders in the Premiership as you mentioned Rick.

no way id have carrick in the side. thats nothing bias cos of him leaving spurs either. i just think hes got a lot of plaudits and praise for recent apperances, and a lot cos of the goals he scored against roma.

prior to that people were still questioning his value to the side.


hes done well dont get me wrong, but gerrard has been much better. and essien. and sidwell.


id have also considered taylor at left back, but i guess hes played a lot in midfield this term so couldnt really count.

Not too sure of Van de sar being there. What about ben foster this year he has been in great form. Disagree with the whole defence made up of utd players. Midfield looks fair enough all 3 utd players there have been great this season.

Ferdinand picked over Carragher? It's a joke that's the same in the England team as well. Ferdinand was a great player in the 2000 European championships and the 2002 world cup but since then he's not been up to much. And I wouldn't have his brother in Rovers' team

I've no doubt Foster will be the best keeper in the league within a few years, but as yet I don't think he's the best. There hasn't really been one keeper that's stood out this year really. Except, ahem, David "Comedy" James, who I've royally slagged off more than once down the years But I'll be first to admit he's had a good season and his beating Seaman's record is a worthy achievement. Even if he still can't catch a corner.

Portsmouth's Matty Taylor also has far more right to be in the team than either of the fullbacks. No Fabregas? Scholes has been outstanding this year but compare him to the likes of him or Essien, or Arteta over at Everton maybe?

Berbatov and Drogba is a good choice though, they've both been outstanding. And much as he's a twat, you couldn't have the team without our favourite winker either

In short from Man U I would only have Ronaldo and Scholes in that team, don't think the rest deserve it.

Ya the list seems a bit biased towards Utd but its always like that..loads picked from the prem champions...
