I was so disappointed by the Man U match I hoped for more suspense but after three goals Roma just wasn't into it anymore. That Roma backline just fell apart and the goalkeeping was a little suspect. Congrats to Manchester though for getting through to the semi's. BTW anyone in the ukta CL fantasy league still playing cause I feel like I'm the only one.

Watching Man U last night was a pleasure. I'm also not a Man U fan, but you can't take it away from them that they are one of the best teams in the world and play breathtaking football. I'm also not a fan of Ronaldo, but you got to admid, he is probably a strong contender for world player of the year. Simply awesome!!!!!!

Pity United couldn't have scored a couple more goals against Portsmouth on Saturday to ease the pressure in the league, but I guess that is football. Chelsea got a very lucky goal with the goalkeeper to blame, but I think Liverpool will be happy they got through rather than Valencia because I think Liverpool will beat Chelsea over two legs.

In the other tie tonight, I think Bayern should be too strong for Milan.

Going to be a tense end of seaon as a United fan that is for sure, eeek!

I hope united get AC Milan. They have a lot of tallent. But are an old and slow team now. Would be a dream draw.

And also agree Liverpool are Chelsea's arch enemy in Europe. Always knock them out, and I can't see this year being any different. Benitez knows European football very well, which is why Liverpool always do well in the Champions League.

Also did anyone question why Roma went out attacking? Has the Manager not watched any united games, even the portsmouth match on saturday.

If you have a goal lead, its very simple to beat united with a lot of hard work. Made a little harder at home. All you have to do is frustrate United, keep close to them, and don;t give them any time on the ball. and play the defense very close to the midfield and make it hard to break down. United can't break down teams that go all out to defend.

However Roma showed last week, and last night they are quality going forward, quick and accurate. However their defense is only protected by their rapid attack. And last night showed that you have to build a team from the back. If roma bought some world class defenders they would be a match the top teams. But they lacked the experience you need in that kind of game.

Roma had the best defence in whole of chamipions league.......................so nothing wrong there....They just faced a Utd side who was on fire!

Which I am already dreading if that final happens. Have a horrible feeling Liverpool would get revenge for United stealing the win at Anfield earlier this season.

But before that is Milan, and here is hoping Fergie does not deploy the same tactics as he did against Milan 2 years ago. Back then he was in awe of Milan and gave them far too much respect, but if they go attacking then they should be ok.

Hats of to United they were simply awsome best games ever for Fletcher and Carrick they controlled the midfield and Ronaldo ran riot. Just gutted Chelsea got through i still think they will win it they never play good football and don't deserve to but i've got that dreaded feeling. Hope i'm wrong!!

Liverpool Man U final i think, although you can never rule chelsea out with there 90th odd minute winners and the fact they don't play good football but always seem to scrape a result.

Man Utd were beaten tonight in a style that only AC Milan could deliver. Ancelotti completely outmanouvered Ferguson tactically and it showed as Man Utd had one of their worst games of the season in any competition. It was by no means fitting for Man Utd to go out in the way they did but respect to Milan, they showed Utd how football should be... creative, direct and clinical

Wow only saw half of the game,, but Milan was way better imo!! Kaka showed some fast football, Seedorf did some nice passes!! Excellent. Hopefully they win against Liverpool with that damn Kuyt

United were shambles tonite.......The worst performance of the season and they typically do it at semi-finals of the EU Cup........It will be hard to take for fergie......Utd just didnt seem to be up for it tonite..Scholes is only highlight....Ronaldo wa svery disapointing....Utd were second to everyball and their passing was dreadfull.......They lost it in Midfield...

That was the difference Pirlo, Gattuso and Seedorf gave Carrick, Fletcher and Scholes nothing all game. Although it was a bad United performance you have got to give credit to Milan, they kept Rooney and Ronaldo pretty much silent and scored 3 goals doing it......not many teams can do that!!

We don't have a natural defensive midfielder and that was what cost us against Milan as they managed so easily to expose the positions just in front of the back 4. Hence why we need Hargreaves

Gutted. I really thought we were gonna do it. Even at 2-1 down I still thought we were gonna win. Liverpool were easily the better side through out the whole game and Milan were so lucky with the first goal.

I though Crouch maybe could have come on slightly earlier than he did and that would have perhaps given us a better chance. Pennant had a great game.

I wonder what Liverpool fans think of Benitez's tactical decisions sometimes. Every game this season I have seen a Liverpool teamsheet I am always left scratching my head. It seems that he is always more concerned with what the opposition is going to do rather than the strengths of his own team.

Jermaine Pennant was absolutely awful. So many times he was on the ball, so many attacks broke down with him giving the ball away. When he had opportunities to cross the delivery was so poor. He was stupid enough to give away in the press conference yesterday that he was starting. He is not good enough to play at that level.

Zenden was awful, Kewell was worse. When Benitez went to make the first substitution he should have taken Zenden or Pennant off and put Bellamy on. Why Bellamy did not appear I do not know. Gerrard was wasted playing in a position he has never played in before.

Yes Liverpool were by far the better side, and yes Milan's first goal was lucky, but Liverpool did not score when they had Milan on their knees for most of the game. Congratulations to Milan.

It will be an interesting summer at Anfield, Benitez will have a huge warchest of cash to play with. But if he wastes money like he did last summer on people like Pennant, Liverpool fans will be left wondering why they cannot challenge for the Premiership again.

I feel sorry for Liverpool,, but i'm glad Milan won,, altough i've hoped for a 2-2 after the 2-1 dropped. Not the best final game i saw,, but i enjoyed it!!

Wise words - lots of players tonight weren't up to it. Another bog standard final.

Roll on the play off finals this weekend then we might have some action and some passion.
