I`ll say that it`s important ( not very important because you need a little luck in life , too hypocritesmiley.png )

It is very important, in fact with the process of education we became more skilled and simply better, our possibilities equals our price we can get on the job market.
Of course every eductaion has to be resonable and proper cool.gif, let's say. Learning all stuff school provides leads to nowhere, also beeing able to recitate a haul of books doesn't mean we are able to effectively use possesed knowledge. Education should be set in a direction of having some practical possibilites which differ us from the crowd.

I'd say important as sometimes it can be a case of not what u know but who u know wink.gif

I think education is important but many people have been successful without it as well. But i think going towards the future it will probably become more important wink.gif

Very important but not nearly as important as money.

Paris Hilton is living proof of this.

yeah its much harder to work up the ranks in any business now i think, you
need a little bit of a financial push wink.gif

VERY important...

it opens doors for life...

you just show you can understand anything within a short range of time and that piece of paper at the end is the proof...

don't forget... when you're out of university... you know NOTHING... you learn during a lifetime...

.. education doesn't ensure you a good life of course, it's just another tool to open doors in life .. but there is no bigger cage than being ignorant or illiterate, so i think education is very important smile.gif

I think education is the most important thing in civilisation.

If you look at any develop country education is the key to driving the Economy. Without skilled worker you can't grow.

People need the basics, being able to read and write to do every part of a job. And also expressing yourself is also impossible without a good education.

I know a lot of people think education isn't key to success, with people a lot of billionaires who flunked school. But thats because they have drive, imagination and ambition. If you have that you will always do well. However even they needed a basic education, otherwise they would have been stuck at the first hurdle.

If i had known what i do now when i was in school I would have worked harder. Qualifications get you over the first step when you get a job. I am incharge of employing people, and I always look at grades. It tells you how hard they can work. Good grades usually mean hard worker, and someone who i can progress and develop.

However on the other side I also like people who are not so well qualified, who will probably stay with me a lot longer as the job will always be challenging for them, and it is easier to develop them, as they have no prior experience to get bad habitts from.

But as you can tell, my spelling isn't my strong point. But I know enough to get through life.

If it wasn't for my mum and dad putting me into the best schools they could find I have no idea how I would have turned out. I have always been pushed to do well, to speak up for myself and to go for what i want. And those things remain key in my life.

To anyone who is currently in full time education. Please get your head down and work. Because trust me 5 years of hard work at school saves 10 years when it comes to getting a job.

well in that case , you can do this: hope to win money at loto or find a briefcase full with money ( need God`s help ) / bet ( need luck + knowledge in what you`re betting one ) , steal ( NOT recommended) , begging on the street ( need to look like s**t or be a retard ) , prostitution ( NOT recommended) etc ... tongue.gif

Very well put mate..i totally agree with you. Looking back i wished i worked harder in school but i was never the studying type, loved messing around too much.....call it peer pressure! But luckly enough i caught a break and am working for a bank, working my way up from the bottom to nearly the top and i earn a good living so im happy but i guess if i had a degree or qualifications then i would have jumped all tha working up but im not bitter as it has helped me develop my self. smile.gif

I agree with the first post

It's important, but there are other factors as well.

Its not the education or the knowledge that is inportant... its the choices that you make with it that counts.
