Crowd Trouble against Nancy Last Year....Tottenham may get a bye into the next round...

I guess there's major issue of football hooligans in Holland still..................

Addict-In-Trance
Yep.
But I feel that the punishment is a bit too much imo

Feyenoord warned the French police about them and still Nancy sold the tickets to them.

And I don't expect that the Spurs will go onto the next round without an oppenent.
They say Wisla Krakow will play now

ive found no definate confirmation on spurs getting a bye (on bbc or sky sports websites) so im not sure its been confirmed, but i certianly wouldnt grumble

we have a heavy schedual at the mo and a couple of less games would be helpful

And also a bit of a Brucie bonus being in the next round without playing a game tongue.gif

not so long back english clubs were banned for hooligans so its only fair that it is the same across europe

sometimes you have to be harsh to make people stop and think about there actions

and remember. EVERY english club was banned from competing in europe. not just the one who had the trouble at the time

I think Tottenham will play against Wisla Krakow instead.
Otherwise it is less income for the Uefa also wink.gif and it is money that buys the game

confirmed about an hour ago that spurs have been given a bye into the next round

saves us 2 more games in our heavy schedual i guess so its all good

I know Liverpool were banned from Europe after Heysel disaster against Juve. That was like 1985 or 86 wen John Barnes arrived and was one of Liverpools strongest teams wink.gif Im sure we wouldve had more than our 5 cups if it wasnt for that. So yes Feyenoord fully deserve it wink.gif
ricksta
yeah every english club was banned for about 6 years

harsh days indeed. we would have been in the european cup one year and we lost out on a few others as well, and our club (spurs) were never even involved in any trouble!!

Feyenoord is going to the CAS in Lausanne to appeal against their punishment
so it could happen that the Spurs will still play Feyenoord

I hope they will.....
Because Feyenoord warned Nancy about not selling tickets to Dutch fans and still they did.
So it is their fault

its hardly their fault the dutch fans are out and out hooligans is it?

english clubs paid the prices years ago. ALL of them. even the ones not involved. i dont see why your club being kicked out this year is such a big deal at all.

I'm not a Feyenoord fan wink.gif
But I know you are a Spurs fan so you think it is justice......
But place yourself in the soul of a Feyenoord fan now....do you still think it is fair then ?

And you are saying now that what happened in Nancy is just as bad as the Heyzel ?
I don't think so.
And they didn't know that it could happen then and Feyenoord already said that they shouldn't sell tickets to Dutch fans and still the did.....stupid
