LIVERPOOL V CHELSEA N ARSENAL V MAN U:

1 Manchester United 57
2 Chelsea 51
3 Liverpool 43
4 Arsenal 42

Big prem wkend ahead! Top4 all in action against eachother.

What yours predictions?

I will settle for a point against arsenal as they are playing really well at the moment, and i think Pool will do the job on chelsea...after all they cant play any worse than against Arsenal can they?..................

Lazarus
Chelsea will cruise past Liverpool despite valiant efforts from Gerrard.

Arsenal will scare the hell out of Man U and win by the odd goal.

Just a gut feeling....

blink.gif blink.gif
Guys i think the world is comin to an end wink.gif We hav a Manc saying that Pool is gna win laugh.gif

Anyways im not gonna predict anything coz the opposite always happens. Only thing i can say is that we havent beaten Chelsea yet in the league with Benitez in charge & its certainly about time we put one over them. If we beat them, second place is definitely on 123clap.gif

2 Chelsea 51
3 Liverpool 43
4 Arsenal 42

I think both will be a draw.

Whats interesting tho is if Chelsea loose and Man Utd Win the table will be...

1 Manchester United 60
2 Chelsea 51
3 Liverpool 46
4 Arsenal 42

With Liverpool only 5 points behind Chelsea and the gap between Chelsea and United 9 points....

And even more interesting would be if Arsenal beat United and Chelsea got beat...

1 Manchester United 57
2 Chelsea 51
3 Liverpool 46
4 Arsenal 45

Leaving the gap between the top 2 at 6 points anf the gap between Chelsea and 4th 6 points......

I know its a massive weekend but its a huge weekend for all clubs as it could completly blow the title race wide open with Man Utd then still having to play Liverpool & Chelsea, Arsenal still having to play Chelsea and Liverpool and Chelsea having to play United & Arsenal........
ImpactPlayaz
I think it will be two draws. Very hard to separate the sides on their current form, you could make a case for each time to win.

Just hope for two good games, Liverpool-Chelsea games have been pretty dull this past while, and I can see United playing more negative as usual so they do not play into Arsenal's hands on Sunday.
KI
2-0 to liverpool! 30 Min gone! lol
trance_addict2004
Liverpool 2 - 0 Chelsea

Never thought I'd say this but.... quality! Liverpool now only 5 points behind Chelsea in 3rd place
Dodds
Great result for Liverpool. 123yahoo.gif And a special goal from Pennant too. Liverpool dominated the first half hour, and by that time Chelsea alreadly looked like a beaten side. They never really got going until about 70 mins.

It was good to see Drogba being a bit more sporting at times too. biggrin.gif
douba

did Reina even have to make a save? 123groovey.gif
Gaz Jenkins
A cracking win for Liverpool! biggrin.gif Chelsea were there for the taking, it was possibly their worst performance under Mourinho but we still had to beat them, what a goal from Pennant (he is starting to win over a few Liverpool fans now smile.gif). Looking forward to the Arsenal - Man Utd game, they are rarely dull affairs and as ever there is a lot at stake!
moulder
good to see chelsea get turned over by liverpool

just hope man u can take the chance to go 9 points clear and beat arsenal

my prediction 2 - 0 to man u
trance_addict2004
well Man Utd f*ck up again just like they did at Old Trafford although this time was even worse. 1-0 up with 7 minutes to go and then Arsenal equalise. So, just like at Old Trafford with 7 minutes to go, Utd seem to be happy with a draw (at Old Trafford in September because Arsenal were better than them the entire game) and suddenly another defensive f*ck up sees them lose.

So 3rd and 4th place conquer 2nd and 1st place this weekend but the important thing is, Utd are still 6 points clear at the top. I can't see them slipping up any more this season apart from perhaps at Stamford Bridge in April... bring it on
bubmeister
I said it was about time Liverpool beat Chelsea and they really outplayed them 123clap.gif WOuldve been even better if Pool really had a go at them with no recognised centre backs i feel we couldve won by 4 goals. Nevertheless it was more important to not lose so yay for us smile.gif Second place is definitely on & if we go on a run like we did last year & Utd slip up u never know. Utd still gotta go to Anfield & Chelsea.

Well done to Arsenal as well, was really going mental wen Henry scored laugh.gif Another slip up and we have a four horse race wink.gif

You may catch Chelsea in 2nd place, but you won't be top of the table this season. And you still have Arsenal hot on your heels, a mere point behind you after their win today, and they have yet to visit Anfield (a result which I can already predict after your meetings with them in the FA Cup and League Cup this month). So I wouldn't be too happy that Arsenal beat Utd today

I was thinking the same thing but no Liverpool supporter would ever want a Man Utd victory. No matter who they play.

I would be very surprised (and obviously delighted) if we (Liverpool) were top of the table come the end of the season, but to immediately discount Liverpool from winning the title would be wrong! Especially given our comebacks over the past couple of seasons smile.gif

Liverpool are yet to lose at home in the league this season, and are top of the form league at the moment - people don't pick up on these things as the English media tend to shy away from praising Liverpool yet are very quick to highlight the slightest problem rolleyes.gif

If we were to beat United and Arsenal at Anfield then things could certainly get very interesting! It's all if's and buts in the end, but at least it's shaping into a really exciting business end to the season!
Lazarus
Thought Arsenal deserved it in the end, especially since they should have had that penalty in the first half as well.

Definitely a four horse race, again, not half as exciting as League One again though where you've got 6 points separating the top 7 wink.gif

HAHA that sounds like a bitter liverpool fan there. you make it seem like the media treat liverpool any different to any of the other superclubs (arsenal, man u, chelsea), which they do not

you have just not won the league (or even come close) for far too long, and this season started terribly. i fully understand why the media doesnt believe you would win it this year

As ive said in another topic, i wouldnt dwell too much on that. If Reina, Carra, Riise & Finnan were playing, Arsenal would not hav scored 6 goals in 1 match. Besides im sure the Liverpool lads will be really up for that to make amends wink.gif

4 horse race? Your having a joke right?..........

Trust me, Utd wont slip again like that again.......

How can u say that wen u still have Liverpool away, Chelsea away, Spurs away & a derby with City away. These are all gna be tough games dude wink.gif
blackened_sky
had to bring this to life biggrin.gif was so convinced arsenal wouldn't be able
to pull it back because we always lose composure after a goal. i was
jumping up and down in the last few minutes, i couldn't believe that turn

It's true we don't have a good record playing in London this season so far. We've won only once from three attempts (and that was against Charlton) but we're playing Tottenham in 2 weeks time and we'll be wanting to bounce back after the disappointment against Aresnal. Bouncing back is something Utd are experts at. As for the City derby, it's hard to tell what the situation will be in May but if we can maintain this form they don't stand a chance

Not a bitter fan at all! huh.gif Manchester United get the same treatment from the press as Liverpool do, it must be a Northern thing! If you believe the media then United are going to crumble under the pressure - yet this kind of situation brings out the best in them!

The thing that gets on my nerves is the Sky Sports 'pundits' that give Liverpool or Man United a royal slagging off after a defeat - and little praise seems to go their way when they do win!

I'm probably thinking of the impossible, but some balanced journalism from the English press would be good now and again rolleyes.gif

yes. your right. in terms of them thinking a team is crap after a defeat and the best after a win. but its the same with every team in the land, expect the more you do win the more your expected to win.

just saying your statement of

sounds a bit like your saying its different treatment to any other club at the top, or any other club once a bit of expectation hits them

the media love a crisis or a team in complete control. it sells papers.

Indeed it does sell papers - looks like they're going to have plenty more to talk about with this years title race!

You'll have to forgive me for not getting my point across in the best way, i'll blame it all on the post Chelsea victory drinking! smile.gif

I like how heated football debates get. In the future wars will be faught over them, heh.

I was gutted on sunday. I don't think we deserved to lose, but we didn't play well enough to win.

Unfortunately Arsenal are very good at getting one over on united. They have cost us 6 points this season. We would be 12 points clear if we had won both legs.

But as much as I hate to say it, they have to be given credit, they never gave in.

United backed off way to much, and let them come at us. And thats why we lost it at the end of the day. Just a shame Arsenal couldn't have had all the injuries before playing us.

I don't think United will crumble. Chelsea are not performing anywhere near as well as last season. If they were the title would have already been won. Its there for United to lose, and Alex wants it way to much. Still on for the treble biggrin.gif

He isnt a cheat, if a player is going to go in for tackle they need to make it. Ok there was only the slightest of contact, but that was enough. Berbatov did the same.

4-0 was a good result, but after it went 1-0 you knew it was going to be Uniteds game. Totenham couldn't play so tightly and had to go for it, this left spaces for United to exploit.

The ref didnt have a good game, but we could have had a penalty earlier in the game, anyway the result stands. I though carrick had a good game against his old team biggrin.gif
ricksta
the ref was shocking indeed

united should have that early penalty, and spurs should have had one later when chimbonda was wrestled to the ground by neville

but nope, the ref gives a penalty for a blatent dive. there was NO contact. of that im deffinate. silly to put a foot in from malbranque, but that doesnt consitute a penalty should be given. you still have to touch the guy and ronaldo just dived forward. shocking. but then its nothing you dont expect from him really.

was close up till then but united were by far the better second half.

how scoles avoided being at least booked if not sent off (i would assume he wouldnt have continued his fouls had he been booked earlier tho so i wouldnt say he should have been red carded) but he commited enough bad fouls to have been. the ref didnt hang around booking vidic tho did he? how inconsistant was all that.

Haha yup that's what I thought. Liverpool fan bitterness. Like Fly said, Berbatov tried exactly the same thing and Utd should have had a penalty earlier on anyway. It looked like a hard game to ref, lots of action going on, and Scholes attempted that one tackle which was reckless but he's not the kind of player to try and take someone out deliberatly and there was no contact

3 points after a tough away fixture and another game out of the way. smile.gif
