It's a damn shame because I liked Pardew and he worked so hard to get West Ham into the F.A. Cup Final last season. He just hasn't had any luck this season whatsoever and it's a shame. West Ham are a credit to English football in my opinion as they carefully nurture their home born players and put a lot of effort into their youth system.

Favourite to succeed Pardew is Curbishley and I hope he gets it. And stay the f*ck away Eriksson, lets keep West Ham English

Yeah I think it's a damn shame cos he's a likeable bloke and he's done them well getting promoted back to the premiership at all.

Funny how all the trouble seemed to coincide with the off-the-pitch activity, perhaps the boardroom unrest was more of a factor. Or maybe the new guy wants his own man in, but all the same, considering he backed him 2 weeks ago its a bit of a kick in the teeth!

I'm a West Ham supporter, and I'm pretty shocked - it was only last week that the (new) board were saying Pardew was the man for the job blink.gif

I think the players have to take a huge chunk of responsibility for this - they have just not perfomed this season, and are much capable of better. Remember that a majority of the team are the same that got us into the FA Cup final last season, gave us a top 10 finish and qualified for Europe.

The manager can only do so much, but when the team cross the line, its up to them to get the job done.

As far as the next manager, I could mention 4 or 5 names, but maybe Alan Curbishly - he has been widely tipped to become West Ham manager a couple of times now.

Will see how this develops,

Mike

I watched the Bolton vs West Ham game on Sat West Ham were awful, i felt sorry for Pardew he is an honest bloke. The players have let him down there is no confidence and no midfield except Reo Coaker!! Hope Curbs gets the job!!

I think this is a stupid decision. He brought them back up to the premiership and did most things without a lot of money. His big striker has been out all season, and the tevez and mascherano haven't fitted in, and have messed up west hams results.

Although looking at his results overall, he has lost as many as he has won. Not a brilliant history.

I think the players definitely let him down, i actually really feel sorry for him. He really worked his ass off trying to improve West Ham. People complain and say it was Tevez & Mascherano but from what ive seen Tevez has been their bst player in the last couple of games. He's really trying his heart out but the rest of the team really do lack belief!

From what I've read of the West Ham match reports, Reo-Coker is one of the players who has under-performed on quite a number of occassions, as he is supposed to be the team captain!

Alan Curbishly has said that West Ham have made approach for him - you can read it here.

Yeah he has without a doubt underperformed but at Bolton he was the only noticable midfielder in team, the rest were nowhere to be seen for 90mins, which resulted in West Ham knocking highballs all second half cutting out the midfield.

id like to say im sorry, cos pardew is an ok bloke in my book and hes done a good job there but been let down by players like reo coker sulking (cos he didnt get his move to arsenal), and having imports come in (i believe he didnt actually dgo after them himself) who havent adapted to the english game quick enough

but i wont, cos he helped his team beat us (spurs) on the last game of the season and hand arsenal the champions league spot we had held for so long over the season

petty i know but there you go

Curbishley got it as expected, a bit of a rash decision from the West Ham chairman imo - sacking Pardew that is.
