if your planning to come from the us, then make it for global gathering, which is on every summer (around julyish).
its a weekend event and features all the biggest dj's from all types of genre, and is in the middle of the country.

if your just coming any other time then as said, the gallery @ turnmills in london is one of the best nights going for trance/prog/tech etc. lineups are always top notch and is on every friday night

Inside Out @ The Arches, Glasgow.

Turnmills in Farringdon, London is the best regular trance party I've attended in England by far. The new bi-monthly trance nights at Gatecrasher One are also definitely worth attending when (and they usually do) offer excellent lineups

The Sub Club in Glasgow or the Arches. The Sub club has a more intimate vibe going on, but the sound system is trully awesome. I watched Hybrid there and they blew the roof off. I also love Fabric for atmosphere and there is always an after party to goto. Fabric is in London and plays mostly New skool breaks if you are in to that. Air in Birmingham is probs the best for trance as it is the home club of Gods Kitchen and the music played is always awesome.

Slinky has not ended just to clear this up. It's only they venue thats no more (The Oprah House) Slinky has now set up base in Bournemouth's biggest club called elements and on dec 15th it will be theire first night at the new place. (Doubt it will be better then the Oprah House, nothing beats the OH!)I'll presever my judgement for now...

I only like Turnmills when its not busy, can get really cramped in there (i need my space 123groovey.gif )

Global Gathering is must! if its a festival your after.

Godskitchen and Gate Crasher is supposed to be very good (neva been there) BUT... i will be going to my 1ste Gate Crasher party on boxinday 123yahoo.gif

Fabric also very good club but its not often you'll hear trance in there (if ever)

ahh cool i didnt realise slinky had found a new home in bournmouth

shame, cos the opera house was an excellent venue. shame the promoters of it wanted to change the style of night there to make more money sad.gif

The Oprah house was sold (thats how slinky got the boot) , the slinky promoters did put i bid in to buy, but failed to win it, so thats how it ended up in someone elses hands, who wasn't to keen on raves but more into crappy rock bands. I know there was a slinky petition going, asking for just one night a month, but the Owner of the Oprah House (Dichead!) didn't bite. Sad, OH was by far the coolest venue. I went there like 15times a year! Already missing it! and now i can't find a decent line up for NYE. sad.gif
