I think it's a good idea to be able to see the Total Cumulative Posts under your avatar. I think it is more convinient to show it "outside" instead of clicking on a nickname and see it in the profile of a user..l know it's not that impoprtant but still...?

I dont feel post count means anything. I prefere to see quality over quantity. Maybe i should bring in the rating of threads biggrin.gif

Topics started and post per day allow me to see how active you are, post count doesnt mean anything biggrin.gif

my opinion is this: posts don`t mean anything tongue.gif , all that counts is you having fun on the forum cool.gif

The reason why the total posts were removed in the first place was because it was suggested that it would hinder new members from participating on the forum, they might feel intimidated by having very little posts and they see some members with several thousand. So in a way the removal of the post count should remove the hypothetical hierarchy that some new members may be discouraged to join in the discussions.

And as always, quality is more important than quantity. smile.gif

Exactly. Also its more important to start topics, as questions cause discussion biggrin.gif

The only reason why I ever look at postcounts (on any forum) is to see whether the user is new here or has been posting for a much longer time.
But this forum has the 'senior member' etc. ratings, so for me there's no need for a visible postcounter...

Agree with you that activity and quality means more smile.gif

Although it looks, because of my posts per day, like Iīm posting less than I normaly post, just because of the fact that I wasnīt quite active the first year I entered this forum.

But that doesnīt really matter to me actually. I know the people who regulary post at this forum so itīs quite easy to recognize "new people" smile.gif
