Well I know this site isnt about leeching but I use a forum that is dedicated to the leecher and it has about 4k members and they have 1k members on anygiven day. Maybe you might want to look into appealing to the masses by adding just a little bit more appeal to the leechers. It is just a thought and you never know you might get posters out of the leechers. Ill tell you what after reading replies in the first impression thread almost everyone that post around here started as a leecher and then realized that there was more.

We cant offer anything more unless offering something which is illegal. And im not prepared to do that. We already offer 2 download areas, and a torrent system. Think thats enough for the "leechers" We have 17,000+ members and about 500 of them are active. Surely that shows we only seem to attract leechers.

I cant force people to post. But if we offer a forum that isnt full of spam, and has got interesting topics/posts then we will continue to grow.

dunno any about the organisation behind this... but there's indeed something logocal in your story

as more livesets generate more posters... but it's imo not very clear how far you have to go to generate those 1k posters, and then also in the rest of the forum.


on the other side, we work hard to promote with the ukta-digital label also the forum, we hope to generate more visitors and regular posters by getting a well promoted label

Also we are finding it hard enough to cover the current costs. More downloads = more money. I dont think anyone knows how much its costs to run a website of this size. Lucky for me i sometimes make as much as 25p a day from advertising

I think we are going over old ground again........If we offer more livesets than i feel this site will endup like other sites out there who offer loads of livesets but has few posters. Leechers tend to come and go to check if there is new livesets so we need to improve the forum rather than offer more incentives.

I feel we offer more than enough fair share of live sets here...i.e Member DJ Mix Downloads as well. I understand what you are trying to get across polar but i feel we(senior members) must also play our part in posting lot's of topics and make it fun for the new comers to stay.

I think eventually people will see over time what this site is all about.




P.s just an thought about an poll we hadabout a section for Non-English..i know people were not in favour of it(me included)...a rethink maybe?..just to attract more people....a separate section for general chat...

I mean most people understand and speak english on this forum anyway so a small seprate section may help those who arent as fluent to help each other and navigate maybe....
