The Loveparade 2005 has been cancelled recently and many people especially the ones in Germany probably had tears in their eyes as they heard it.
Though nevertheless or maybe because of this they did show the world last weekend that electronic dance music is still alive in Germany!!!
Over 20.000 party people were raving 18 hours long together with the best Trance and Techno Dj´s of the world!
Under the Name Prototypes had the this years Mayday again a great mix of Live act´s and DJ´s.

For instance were Lexy and K-Paul rocking the floor with their special electronical, house/pop – techno show and the Members of Mayday were performing some Mayday Anthems.
Dj´s like Ferry Corsten, Chris Liebing, Luke Slater, Tom Novy and Ron van de Beuken brought the audience an spectacular show of Trance, Techno and Hard house!
The best set of the evening definately had Ron Van de Beuken with his interpretation of Techno and Trance music. His set was always kicking and he wasn´t only spinning his tracks, No! he was celebrating together with the dancing crowd on the floor. Also his mixing technique and especially his timing was superb!!! Beautiful breaks and hard beats were a trademark of his set.
Though the best track of the evening had Ferry Corsten. The man from Rotterdam had the whole hall behind him as he played the track „Are you there“. Everyone in the hall did answer him „yes we are here“. The mixing wasnt the best also he played quit a lot of his own tracks though who cares if u just wanne party u dont really look after this!!! U just want to dance.
Luke Slater did show that u dont need a big Name to entertain. He played a great Techno set with lots of smashing breaks and beats. In the beginning he came up with some break beats and from minute to minute his set became better and better! Dr Motte one of the founders of the event was also special with his „own mixing technique“ if u ever saw him live u will understand what i mean! Motte doesnt really mix tracks together like the most DJ´s do when they do beatmatching. No Motte has his own style. He is mixing in the breaks and also he sometimes just playes one break of a track and then he quickly fades in the next track.

Though something bad the event had as well. The prices! 3 Euro for a 0,5l Water is just too much!! The other things like organisation, space for dancing, the crowd etc. was great. No longer waiting at the Entrance (Ok 10 min but this i would call normal for an indoor event like this).

In conclusion i would say that Techno – trance is still alive and even without a Loveparade Germany still has many great events this year. Also u can see each time that people still love this kind of music! Sure the people from Holland are maybe still the best party crowd (due the fact they are just older and „wiser“ smile.gif ) though Germany comes straight after them.
