Last year for the first time Godkitchen presented the Absolute Armin event, where world no. 3 DJ Armin Van Buuren would dominate the lineup for that night, a massive 9 hour set by the star man himself. After the huge success that it brough last year, once again this year the biggest club night in United Kingdom brought the very popular event back. A huge 9 hour set by Armin Van Buuren. Upon arrival at 9:45 pm, the venue was already more crowded that it would usually be at this time. The first tune that Armin greeted me with was Leama & Moor's Fact of the Matter. There was already a good crowd going on, energetic and moving to the tunes that Armin was spinning, and it would continue to remain until the end of the night. By 11:00 pm, the club was already full. Party goers packed onto one another, there was hardly any space to stand, let alone dance. Clearly shows that big names attract big crowds. Armin started his set with tunes that were not as energetic as the ones he would play at the peak hours. Among the 'early' tunes that he played were Max Graham - Gone, and the Ridgewalkers feat. El - Find. It certainly warmed the crowd up for what would be an amazing night. By midnight, the energy level of the crowd was reaching its peak. Schools of fans were crowding around the DJ booth, looking for an autograph, picture, or to request tunes. At some point, it would seem like they were harassing Armin, constantly disturbing Armin, even when he's in the middle of mixing. However, Armin remained very professional, and did his best to keep all his fans happy. Armin himself was energetic, moving and jumping about, which spurred the crowd even more. Tunes like M.I.K.E - Massive Motion and Fred Baker vs Nyram - Confirmation drove the crowd wild, and by the middle of his 9 hour set, Armin was playing really powerful material. He would also find the chance to play some trance classics, among them Solar Stone - Seven Cities, which drove roars from the crowd. At about 03:00 am, parts of the crowd who already exhausted started leaving, clearing up some room (it was still very crowded even when people started to leave). He was still going strong with his mixing, his mixing was flawless, and the tunes kept coming in. Almost 05:00 am and in my 8th hour, I decided to call it a stop as I was exhausted, I had gone non stop for 7-8 hours, but when I heard Armin play Carl B - All Day, he made me stay that extra 10 minutes. It was unfortunate that I was too exhausted to stay for the entire event, but it was a great night out for me, and I'm sure for all the party goes there too. Armin clearly shows us why he is one of the best and most popular DJ in the world, excellent mixing, great tracklist selection, excellent interaction with the crowd, and last but not least, the professionalism.

A downside of this event was the price of the drinks, Air clearly wanted to capitalise on the large and thirsty crowd. Prices of drinks were high, especially £2.50 for a bottle of mineral water.

I was unable to ID all the tunes that was played on the night, it was a 9 hour set, there had to be at least 80 songs that he played. However, I did manage to ID some of them, and below is a list of IDs that I was able to make (and remember after a whole night) :
