As England enters the era of 24 hours drinking license in pubs today...The question is will this be good or bad for the nation??
The police are worried it will create full of drunks.....Violence in the Pubs and streets......
Im not too sure.......

.. it has always been 24 hours drinking license in pubs here in my country and it's ok, just as many other countries .. people are not drunk at the streets at any time, perhaps you find some people drunk at night, especially on saturdays .. but a 24 hours license doesn't mean that people will go and get drunk all the time .. i think it's ok.

fine by me
i dont think there will be much more trouble than there is now really, most places will only stay open for an extra hour or 2 probs.. so crack on

thinking about it tho, it will be quality for clubbers, some were to go after a night out to reflect over the night and have a swift one before heading home, but for the pissed heads in the UK it is just going to be somewhere to keep on drinking and carry on through to the next day...
dunno really, personally im all for it, but i guess i would be...

sounds nice, I cant stand the fact that clubs here in New York stop serving drinks (except water & Red Bull) at 3am....just when the night is getting started

maybe there will be less trouble
since most of the trouble happens at closing time when everybody leaves the
pubs.

erm, i'd say the first few weeks are going to be really messy, but after
a while things might calm down. if anyone has ever been to france, bars
are open until the last people leave, but people there can control their drinks.
in england peopl go out deliberately to get slaughtered, which from time to
time is ok, but it's not like that.
arguments are that people force drink themselves so that they can get as many
drinks in before closing time as possible, but i don't think that's necessarily true,
as the mentality to 'get slashed' is still there. so there ya go.
i don't mind the drinking laws, just as long as the bars become more vigilant,
and the police more available

an exagguration no doubt
having said that, this is England: the country with the worst binge-drinking, uncultured, uncouth yobs and nutters
We'll see... personally I think its a step forward. When I go on holiday I love the fact that I can sit in a pub with mates till 7 in the morning... 11pm last orders in the UK is s**t. Since the 11pm law came into effect, its effectively been repressing people who want to drink later. So there may be a backlash but you could argue it's been self-inflicted by the government

Its only 20 in Japan but, no one really cares. As long as you dont have a school uniform on they dont care. Clubs are usally open all night and most bars too. Back in the states it sucks. 21 to drink and the bars close at 2. Good thing im 21 and the clubs(dancing ones) are open til 5 or 6 ish and serve booze.

thought f**k it, flashed his keys as if there was a car key on it, and he got
served.

no wonder Britney Spears used to get knocked back every time she went out lol
24 Drinking licence means the police will have to be on their toes at all times!
24 hours drinking session is 24 hours trouble session l reckon, but let's give it a few weeks & we will see.
Bytheway, how did the authority come to this decision in the first place? Was it because pubs, bars and clubs applied for a late licence or something?

i think it's a good thing in the long run, in bournemouth where i live there is such trouble at 11 when the pubs empty and again at 2 when almost all the clubs empty.
The other good thing is many nightclubs will stay open longer, for example Slinky my local big club night used to finish at 3 generally but now has a license til 5. Same with gods, that has a license til 6 every morning now making trains home alot easier.

true, if you travel to some club it will be easier to get back home yeah, that's a good things...but you may see lots of drunken people lieing about on the steets..although,it remains to be seen & tested as lve said before

If there were a 24 hr drinking liscense here in the states we would definately have a prob. you wouldnt be able to control the drunks at least in Florida with all these drunk rednecks you couldnt. that is why they stop selling at 2am and restart at 6am and on sunday it is 12am and restart at 7am
