More commonly known as Tren, from Tamworth, UK, was seven years old when he discovered a natural talent for music. It began by chance, a family christmas present in the form of an elctronic keyboard. It started with just tinkering of keys but developed into proper music within weeks. With his natural talent realised, Michael attended music tuiton for over six years where learned not only how to play keyboard but how to read and write manuscript music. In this time he played in concerts and musical competitions and picked up many honours including "Best Under Twelves".
At the age of thirteen Michael extended his musical talent further by learning to play guitar. The first song he learned to play was a favourite of his, Oasis' "Don't Look Back In Anger". He gained further experience of musical instruments with the bass guitar, harmonica and drums.
By the age of seventeen Michael had joined a band, at first as a bass guitarist, and later as lead guitarist, during which time the band played numerous gigs throughout the UK. By 1999, Michael had developed a strong passion for the trance scene, and began to produce his own tunes.
