Full Version: Music Lables To Produce Your Track
UK Trance Alliance Forum > Music Forums > DJ Area
RavekiD
Hi,

I was wondering if we could create a good list for producers, who would like to produce own track but don't know where to send promo disc smile.gif

Maybe you know some labels (i'm not speaking about big ones), which can easy take demo record from unknown artist and produce it in some kind compilation.

If you know such labels please put it here smile.gif and all regarding info about it like
name, address, web, style (trance, house, techno) and who were produced there...

p.s. maybe this topic could be sticky?
TranceHeini
hey thats a great idea.. wink.gif

good idea mate! thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

i would say get into more producers forums and get known in there as a good producer... it's important you have a few good tunes ready which are more than representative for that forum. Also give ppl the feeling you produce a lot (just do that by submitting a lot of work, that's why you have to prepare wink.gif )

Also important is that you post a lot in other's topics which gives ppl the feel you're good and know a lot from it wink.gif

I think MPFS (from ricksta) should be one of them where you could try it wink.gif

Too bad I don't have enough time myself to use that strategy, but i know from ppl it really works: just get into a lot forums and use them, not as a chatbox but to give useful messages wink.gif And get in touch with dj's.... first bedroom dj's, later you'll get in touch with "bigger" dj's wink.gif

*oh, and use everywhere your most important alias (so maybe get rid of "ravekid", most of the european ppl are into trance etc. not into "rave", so get something which connects the alias to the style you use... or use a variation of your own name....that's one of the most important things wink.gif
RavekiD
very interesting idea... and complitely another aproach how to become famous biggrin.gif

anyway would be nice to get a list of music labels, i guess in holland there should be a lot. Also in germany and england.

One we have and it's MPFS (and we have sticky there with all info)

I don;t think so....

when there's a "Unique Selling Point" from the labels (see USP as something they stand for) stated it could be sticky, but just a long list does not say from something like "Blackwiz" how they think about music.

- What's their genre ?
- What kinda productions do they want ?
- With what kind of producers do they work ?
- How do they reach their public ?
- Where do they reach their public ? (Countries etc.)
- How is their promotion system ?

and also important for yourself:

- what kinda producers are also signed to that label ?

because it's always nice to build connections with certain producers.... don't look to the name... when you're signed to Black Hole, Tiesto won't have a lot of time for you to produce together wink.gif

Also never clone an artist who's already signed to that label... they don't want 2 of the same. Just be original wink.gif

Most of this type of information can easily be found at their websites... When u know the name, the only think u need is google... smile.gif

that's right... but it's better to know from a label where they stand for instead of searching in a list of 500 labels if they do hardtrance or prog wink.gif

Yes, but most of labels produce in varied styles... I mean, they can produce hard trance, the way they produce acid, or prog... But that's just my personal opinion... wink.gif
