Okay friends,

here is a sample from me.
Its a quite "calm" song, and should hopefuly convey a positive feeling w/ a bit of bittersweetness(but thats optional, you feel whatever you feel tongue.gif).
Why? Because I think that in life positivism is great, but after been through things, it also creates a bittersweetness ;-)

The sample is cut in the middle of the "break". The total length of the track is 07:00 at this moment, and the sample is like three and half something.

Stay calm, and enjoy lífe folks.

Hi Silverlance,

positivism is indeed great... but emotions in music are important too.
In that point of view I think you have to fix a lo of things on your tune to make it ready for the CD.

- tune begins with a nice piano, and immediately interrupted by an iritating loud clap... removing that clap will be the best solution in the entire tune... other claps are ok
- bass comes a little fast in it... better use a fade in here
- there's a nice arp + lead in the build... but the strings sound a little fake on there. Better remove them
- the transition at 1.00 sounds weird... you leave a nice bass and switch it for a eurodance offbeat bass... the kick under it sounds very "fruity".... better use another one wink.gif
- the vocal which starts at 1.00 has waay too much gain... try to decrease the volume and add a little bit delay on it to make it feeling creamy
- dunno why there comes a "break" at 1.28... better remove it and make some variations in your lead melody. Same goes for the "break" at 2.36
- leads at 3.33 sound very 80's.... dunno if that fits well ? unsure.gif
- i also dunno why it's necessary to start and stop and start and stop the hihat loop over there a few times (arround 3.30)

overall: tune is ok... maybe a bit pop/euro trance. that's imo not wrong, as long it sounds good (which it does not really yet). I also don't get the bitter sweet feel of it yet. I also don't feel it as "calm" or whatever.... tbh, i even don't get a real "feeling" in it dry.gif

I hope you can fix some things in it... would be great smile.gif

keep it up smile.gif

the clap is too loud indeed,, piano is a little bit midi thingy,, sorry. Bassline is not fitting 100%.. well not a big deal here, .. arp is quite good! ,, Kick is too filtered,,, vocals are beautifull mate!!! sounds well. Vocals could use some more volume and higher EQ,,, but again,, they are fitting well!!!! synthline is great.. ,, only the crash is too ugly for this tune.. ,, clap is too funky for this tune,, try to use a flatter one.

for the rest this is a very nice tune mate,,, thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Hello again!

Thank you for your feedback, as most of it was constructive it is appreciated wink.gif
Okay, yes I agree the kick sounded strange, I think(..) it is fixed as I have adjusted the volumes between the tracks. The bass line was to loud!
The first "clap" is gone, the rest (at intro) is lowered in volume.
The first break is gone and instead I have created a continous piece in that specific spot.
The strings in the first section will stay, as well as the second break...and the hi hats.
I have also adjusted the vocals and done some other minor changes.

As far as what feeling you get when listening, its quite individual wink.gif
But I expressed myself incorrect the last time. What I actually tongue.gif meant was that I hope this song will convey a positive feeling, maybe after some sad times. And if you find comfort in it, its great, if not, I hope you like it anyway biggrin.gif

Also, yes, I guess there might be a sound of 80s, 90s and 2000, since I listen and get influenced by all of it, I guess rolleyes.gif

Take care for now.
