Leechin' is OK, everyone here is a leecher, but the idea of a community is the feedback and the opinion exchange. Now, the problem with the S&L section is since the messages doesn't count, everyone leech but nobody leaves at least a Thank you !!

No, regardless of whether the posts count towards post counts or not people should still say thanks.

Tbh i feel like getting rid of post counts all together, they always seem such an issue on a forum!

I don't bother post count
But with the users who are on 0 posts you can easily see that they are leechers.
So don't get rid of it just because of the issue post count
It is an indication for you and the site as a whole

I still can't find a reason why it is so difficult for 75% of the users (read: leechers) to participate in the other sections

And how about hiding post counters? Posts would be still counted but then we would only see the user rank (New Member, Member, Senior Member etc.)

Well I just don't know if hiding the post counter or not will in any way prevent people from their single goal:leeching.I don't really see the point how that should secure that the people are participating!Should they post just to get a higher rank??So we sold only the post counting issue against another,the rank issue.Well maybe i'm just missing some important point here,but that's on your side people to explain it to me then

Not a problem anymore, coz i deleted 1600 members, so should help with the leecher problem, and no new users can see S&L

Errr I just wonder what now happens with those poor guys intending to sign up for leeching their ass off now and suddenly their life value is gone!We could get a bad conscience about this one day,couldn't we?

Now seriously:When people sign up now they don't see an S&L section and now there are two choices:
1.they participate anyway,
2.the leave and never come back.
In both ways we get whether valuable new members or we get rid of new leeching nonparticipating subjects.Will there be any opportunities for new members that participate here enough to get access to that section?How do you intend to handle this Fly or do you have any thoughts about that yet?I don't reactivate vision of the S&L section for every new member but only for those who earned it by participating in the other sections!

Well new members cant see S&L and wont be able to, but i may decide to let more people into the area again in the future, but i think 600 members is enough atm

You bet it is!Now that we've got rid of some leechers we get spammers here like that one in the SITE SUGGESTIONS section??M8 i hope this is just a single case,cuz I don't know if this isn't just a revenge act of an ex member.Maybe there will be more spammers in future seeking for revenge for being thrown out for leeching??Or www.uktaforum.tk got that popular that we are an ideal target for special kind of spamming?

After this ukta room discussion on slsk i'm even more convinced that it was absolutely the right thing to delete those nonparticipating members accounts!Nobody will see any wrong doing by themselves if they aren't thrown against a windows if you know what I mean!Now they have the chance to see they did something wrong and could resign and participate for a change and seek repentance!

Or maybe they'll just find another community with free shares as well

Some guys didn't understand why they where deleted and when you where talking about 'Music Discussion' then they where asking:

It took us some time to explain and that Electro_Headz guy gave us some extra 'fun'

This leeching Electro idiot was just that kind of guy that I don't like at all!First leeching his ass off then complaining about the consequences of his behaviour!Why does everyone assume they can get something here completely free for doing nothing and sharing back or at least without communicating with hours,sharing some thoughts or whatsoever???There is something called "common sense" and everyone should be able to use their heads and think of this by themselves!

And can i just explain one thing. You only needed to have posted twice in any other section of the forum other than the request area, and S&L. And S&L has only recently been modified so posts in their dont count.

So anyone with 2 or more posts was automatically transfered into the members group when they logged in. I dont think 2 posts is much to ask. However i didnt release this info before i took action as i knew most would post 2 crap posts to stop themselves from getting deleted.

I am receiving emaisl and pms asking to be let back in, and they are sorry, well i said i wont let anyone else back in for a while. So contribute to the forum and eventually u will see the area you want to see again.

This is not an elitist forum, i just dont like to see people giving up their time and energy for others benefit, and not be appreciated.

You were warned plenty of times about leeching, and you continued. So accept it. I even have mates i know off the forum who i have deleted, and im not lettin them back in.

So get contributing to the forum and you will get back in

Well im very happy that i wasnt deleted from the forum, i must admit that even that i had tried to share some of my songs in here it is been really hard for me to do so, i havent really found a way to share them other than soulseek, usually the songs @ 192k are kinda big to share them, i was thinking to converting to lower bit rate but then when i heard them the quality really sucked, anyways if theres anybody out there that knows a place to have some space with good speed so that i can share my songs please let me know, im also willing to upload to ftps as i have done in the past. (sorry for my english)

well, the forum isn't just for upload or download stuff (for that I use soulseek), this is a community, is more valuable your contribution posting your opinion to several threads, more than just post a thank you for share in the S&L section.
