Here's the set I'm participating with. Once again, I'm not 100% satisfied with my mixing, i hope that selection and extra work done to mash-up & edit tracks fills up few flaws in mixing.

I did listen to your set and i dont know what u have. I think its quite nice.
Like i said in the last contest to Thijse, I like it if people come up with something new like Mash ups, bootlegs, intros etc.
Believe me if u got gigs and u play things which no one else has and they sound good u will get a lot of reputation.

Though i noticed that your mixing is better if the tracks are on a lower BPM

The last 2 transitions were a bit rude but Im glad u tried to come up with something new at the end of the set. Its very important to have a good variation in track selection. Especially if u play infront of a crowd!
But i know, how hard it is to show your skills in a mix of only 60 min. Im used to play at least for 3 hours as well on my gigs.

So my advice would be work a bit on your transitions of higher BPM tracks.

And make more of those Edits. i really like them!


P.S Are u going to send them out as Promos? If so i would like to have one plz

The two last transitions are the ones I'm least happy with. I've been playing mostly 130 bpm stuff lately, but normally my live gigs end up somewhere near 137 bpm.

I decided to share this set, because I have no time to do a completely new set. I'll end up playing atleast some of the same tracks played in this set. And that's not cool anymore

I'm not so bad playing faster tracks - raising the tempo from 130 to 135 bpm in one hour is quite a job. (A job that didn't go well this time)

A like to slowly build up my sets. This is like a shortened version from the styles I normally play. If I had have more time, I'd go to more uplifting style in the end.




I really think I'm not allowed to do that. The Britney-edit is merely cut & paste. Everyone is able to do such an edit. I just took the parts of that didn't take the track forward. If You know what I mean.

The mash-up was bit more complicated, maybe I can be handed over some day. But not just yet.

Though I have one not-so-club-orientated Mash-up done. Maybe I'll share it here sometime soon


I'll do new mash-ups once and a while. Just need a good idea to do something. I'll take suggestions

Ya i know what u mean. 1 hour is just too short. And it can be a bitch if u are on 132 bpm but got a track around 137 and u really want to play the track.

Sven Väth once said something to me.

"The DJ´s of today sometimes dont really know what it means to be a real DJ. In the past we had to play for about 8 hours and we were sometimes playing tracks which had a break of about 15 min. If u would play this today the most party people wont understand this. All they want is power all the time. And actually the most DJ´s only play for 1 - 2 hours. And to be honest in this short time u cant show much. U can maybe just play 1 or 2 Styles at once."

And once again your mix was very nice, but like u said the last 2 transitions were a bit unlucky



Ahh i c. U dont have a promo agency for this yet? Somekind of Managment?
U should try to get one. Or just write at the label of Britney & Co and ask them what they think about your interpretation. Maybe they will like it

By the way u can share all the tracks aslong u dont get any profit of them. Though i also have to say that some labels are not very amused about it if u bring them a track which u can find on all different filesharing tools. So if u ever share them, give them only to a few people u trust. Like some DJ friends

P.S. i always wanted to have a mash up of Avril lavignes - nobody is home

There's nothing unusual in that edit. Just took off the parts that didn't work for me in the remix. There are nothing extra.

I've been thinking that all the summer. Just have to love that powerful chorus.

I'll take a closer look what i can do to that tune.

Really enjoyed this set,choice of tracks were super thanks a mill for this great set.

Enjoyed the set. Good songs and transitions were okay ! Especially your mash-up was great along side the Beautiful rmx.
