Gaz Jenkins
Hi everyone,

Was having a wander around the Godskitchen website today, and happened to stumble into the fact that Godskitchen are going to be holding an all nighter at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle! They're holding the event on November 5, which is when I will be in Newcastle on a weekend break, so i'm definately planning on taking this one in! Just wondered if anyone else is planning on going, or has anyone got any previous experiences of events at the Metro Radio Arena?

Line Ups - Godskitchen at Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle

9pm-6am

Armin van Buuren
Judge Jules
Fergie
Tall Paul
Above & Beyond
Jon O'Bir
Matt Hardwick
Richard Tulip

Looks a pretty good line up to me, theres also a Polysexual Arena, which is mainly aimed at hard dance, which doesn't interest me too much im afraid!!

Line up looks good except the usual two - Jules and Fergie, how do they always make to to the Godskitchen big events?
WilDMAN
Yep I'm going, just bought 4 tickets for me and some mates this morning so i assume they're still on sale. I've never been to a Godskitchen before, what do i need to know?

And Tall Paul. Seems odd to me that he and Fergie make the main room at this sort of event these days. Imo their best days have passed.

I'm defo up this event, purely for the fact that Armin is on and Above & Beyond! I agree Nick, Y do fergie and jules always make the big events, Gods can get better Dj's than the same old surely.

Absoultely amazing night and a good night was had by all my mates who went down, the venue IMO was amazing and the lighting system was one of the best i have ever seen, everything you could expect from a Godskitchen event.

Only let down was the Las Vegas theme, i felt the concept had been rushed and think more thought could of gone into it.

A quick run down of all the DJ's sets, except for Richard Tulip who i only managed to catch about 15 minutes of, so here goes:

Tall Paul

Suprsingly good set, been around for a long time and still has a good eye for the tunes, played a mixture of trance with a bunch of the Swedish House Mafia's tunes, interacted with the crowed well even thought he stadium was still filling up. Played a nice remix of Storm - It's Time To Burn at the end of his set which was a blast from the past.

Best Tunes:

Who's Who - Not So Dirty
Buy Now - For Sale
Gabriel & Dresden - Tracking the Treasure Down

Above & Beyond

As always amazing, their own tunes were the ones that stood out from there set for me and the reaction for Alone Tonight and Air For Life was amazing, they even went into the crowed after there set..

Armin van Buuren

He opted for all the BIG tunes of the moment during this set but didn't dissapoint and had everyone going mental all the way through his set, when he played Advanced loads of gold conffeti dropped from the cieling, this looked impressive and went well with the tune.

Judge Jules

Usual stuff, nothing new and even played FOUR tunes that Armin played which was a bit annoying since Armin had just been on...

Fergie

Not really my style but did make for a change inbetween all the trance DJ's, way too minimal at times tho...highlight was Roman Flugel - Ghet Noch

Jon O'Bir

Only did just short of an hour but loved his set, interacted with the crowed well and got everyone going..

Matt Hardwick

DJ of the night for me, extremely uplifting and energetic set which had me dancing like a lunatic till the early hours, wasn't familiar with a lot of the tunes he played which shows i need to do more research but loved his set and playing Jorio - Remeber ME (Space Brothers Remix) at the end was a great end to the night.

Some of the best Tunes on the night for me were:

Who's Who - Not So Dirty
Buy Now - For Sale
Gabriel & Dresden - Tracking the Treasure Down
Above & Beyond - Alone Tonight
Bart Claessemen - Playmo (1st Play)
Jorio - Remeber ME (Space Brothers Remix)

PS:

If anyone knows were i can get the tracklists for this set and knows if it was broadcasted let me know, really need to know this..

Unfortunately I highly doubt it, don't think any of the sets were broadcasted sad.gif
