do you guys like crowd noises when your listening to livesets? i dont mean like really really loud noise that you cant even listen to the set properly, minimal noise i guess... kinda like the one on Tiesto's Magik 6 (first thing that came to my mind)
i personally like it, feels like your in there and you know when the crowd goes nuts

Well, that depends on what kind of set it is... if it's a pure trance, energetic set, then yes those crowd noises are great, but if it's a more chilled one, maybe even progressive then it doesn't really fit.

true that. i like it cuz it shows how pople react to a certain song, and ypou can pretty much know how it makes them feel. on some judge jules sets, i can swear the crowd hums along to the song.

There was one very funny instance with that in his set from Qontact in 2001, when he played R.B.A.'s No Alternative, and the crowd started humming ..... Zombie Nation
I think radio broadcasts recorded live from a venue are fantastic with crowd noise, it really adds to the atmosphere of the set. Never quite understood why artificial crowd noise was put onto some albums, it just doesn't sound right.

if you make your livesets into CD's with cue lists... you might as well like crowd noises on regular cd's... there's one thing to appreciate though, the dj had to spin almost perfectly that night. most livesets don't have that sort of pressure... best crowd noises: Magik 6, AvB - Universal Religion 2k4
