Sometimes I do not know how to react when I talk to people like this..but cheesy eurodance is NOT TRANCE! I try to expose and educate some of my friends to better productions..and that a song does not have to have vocals to be good as well.

I know it seems a little eliteist but sometimes I feel like I have a moral obligation to keep people from falling victim to cheese!

It may not be trance but it is still edm and this is where trance came from although i dont listen to cheese i dont think its very nice to bash it all over the net i mean after all this is where all the styles of trance really generated from

yes i agree... its not trance or something else... its just poor how can people call that trance with so cheesy vocals and all..

every few months or so one random "dance" song hits it big on the top 40 radio here in Houston..

right now it is DHT- Listen To Your Heart (dance mix)

and with it always brings a new wave of people in the city who are suddenly into "trance"

I have the same problem here
But I separate the 2 genres into Dance & Trance
not together so I can make my friends clear what is good music and what isn't

heh indeed, yust seperate them into dance & trance, you hardly ever hear real trance on radio or partys here, only dance that calls itself deep trance etc

if they want listen to that s**t ... ok that their problem but they cant call it trance

euro dance and scouse house is everywhere were i am from, i mean everywhere!!

They even call the tunes 'Pier Tunes' after the club in Wigan that is famous for playing such s**t tunes, honestly tho it is shocking how many people love this stuff from my area, in the clubs they even have MC's wo rap over the tunes, trust me ive heard the tapes and its anything but pretty!

I just wanted to open a topic about those annoying MC's. This summer, I've been to the seaside, and there were a lot of regular discotheques over there, and only one house club. Many of these discotheques were playing m**ele, the s**t VirusMC just told us talking about. And the best ones had Eurodance music and these MC's that were never shutting up. It was like there was some kind of concert and they were the artists. And the crowd was actually enjoying this. I wish I could throw with something at them.


Man, Eurodance is a lot better than m**ele (). If you compare the two, Eurodance isn't cheesy any more: it becomes pure quality.
