Are the Hardcore & Hardstyle the same thing?

although I am not 100% sure, they are not the same thing...

Hardcore just a fast banging noise. Hardstyle is just hard beats basically tho you get the odd melody.

Hardcore is just cheesy dance crap played at 160 BPM. Hardstyle would be more jungle type stuff.

Hardcore (HC) is faster than Hardstyle (HS), about 160 bpm (HS is about 140-150) and has kind of rougher sound with more distortion. Not good at all imo.

HS is something between Hardtrance(HT) and HC. a lot harder and faster than HT but not as hard as HC. HS often got more voice samples (inspired from the HC) Personally I do like Hardstyle but I cant listen to it too much

then u have Hardhouse HH as well... but thats even more different.. and another story.

hardstyle is hardcore + techno
hardtrance is hardcore + trance

some hardcore is really cheesy... but takes its inspiration from trance... but then thers the hard style influenced hardcore.. which is really heavy beats an stuff... both are much faster than their main indluence

hard style is just really big heavy beats without much bassline or melody... and quite violent vox

Hardstyle is like a fusion of hardcore hard beats with the trancey melodies.

Hardcore is pure strong hard beats and drums... tuning from 140 bpm to the limit.
Remember Moby theme... "Thousand" back in 1993, when he entered to Guiness Book with the highest speed music... it reach the 1000 b.p.m.

there's hardcore that has trancy melodies and stuff, called trancecore or freeform

and there's trance that has hardcore beats called hard trance

i think hardstyle is more interesting in that kind of way
hardcore just keeps on going, but hardstyle has some nice breaks en stunning climaxes

I like Hardstyle very much and sometimes I like some hardcore, but those two styles are defenitely not the same. Hardstyle has indeed some Hardtrance influences and sometimes amazing melodies and banging and pumping basslines
hardcore is to fast for me and in the most hardcore tunes I miss the melodie.

I had listening DJ Pavo--Hardstyle Is My Style 3, I think it's a bit like Hard Techno style.

Hardstyle is a bad hardcore rip-off which is a bit slower than hardcore is. Also Hardstyle is more empty, no use of any breakbeats or percussions. Hardstyle is a plain hard kick combined with some cheesy melodies or basic sawing sounds. Hardstyle used to be for a new generation of hardcore lovers (gabbers) who missed the real hardcore era. Hardstyle is responsible for the most silly dance there is "stampen" just stamp your feets on the beat

So let's say... Hardstyle is wannabee Hardcore
