If you have a question on cue files ask them here, and if you cant help answer them answer in this topic, and ill try and move the questions and asnwers to the help thread.

So it would be helpful if you answered with the question and the answer wink.gif

huh.gif What is the actual purpose of a cue file (besides seeing which track starts where in a mix)?
Can i add a cue file to an audio cd... so that i don't have to manually cut the set at the given times? E.g. If a set has 10 tracks, i would like 10 tracks to be on the cd... instead of 1 track that's over an hour long. huh.gif

ok, so you have told us of a programme to use to use a cue file to split a larger file into smaller parts, but you have not told us how to use the the programme:

do i copy and paste this into word or notepad, save it then change the extension from .txt. too .cue?

then if that is right how do i use the cue sheet in burrrn?

really not understanding this, probablly easy when you know how but can't get me head round it.....

another question as well,

is there any chance you can use a .cue too put a split up live mix onto an i pod?
Fly
yes copy that into notepad and save as whatever.cue. Then open up the 2 files with burn. Both the mp3 and the cue file wink.gif

As for using it to put onto an ipod, i havent needed this, but im sure there are progs to allow you to split mixes into single tracks using cues biggrin.gif

Maybe a tad off topic... but this sub-forum seems dead. Will anybody actually use the cuesheets if I start posting them again?

FoSho, if you make cue, they will track,
still very many many people learning about the cue files and it being the solution to their problems.
