Full Version: Producing + Dj Info's !
UK Trance Alliance Forum > Music Forums > DJ Area
Pages: 1, 2
thijsje
I thought there would be enough people who would like to see these things sorted out. My intention to start this topic is to generate info for the specific things a dj/producer needs to know where to promote things, where to find info's about TT's, Mixers, softsynths, effects, sequencers, samplers, monitoring etc

Not everything is completely on the run but there will follow many more

Please do not mess up this thread with stupid questions. Adding more links is appreciated, telling me I'm a great guy too rolleyes.gif

hey thijs,

when i recently sent our (me and sinsure's) track to somatic sense recordings, i got an email back from pascal (aka dj precision) saying that he has real trouble downloading from yousendit.com and invited me to use dropload.com. I tried this site out and it seems to be very good. The best thing about using this site is that when you send the link of your track to your recipient, dropload notifys you when the recipient has downloaded the file. so that way you KNOW that the label has got your track.

just something to keep in mind.
douba
also i just thought of something else,

i've been doing some research on which record labels i could send mp3's to, and these are the labels that i've found are compatible so far:

- anjunabeats (www.anjunabeats.co.uk)
- somatic sense (www.somaticsense.com)
- mondo records (www.mondorecords.com)
- five am recordings (www.fiveamrecords.co.uk)
- lost language (www.lostlanguage.com)
- adjusted (www.adjustedmusic.com)

i'm sure there are more out there, but these are all top labels that allow you to send them mp3's. when searching their page, click on the "contact" link (or something similar to contact) and that's where you'll find out how to send your demos to them. (ie what their demo email address is.)

feel free to add any more labels here that allow online sending of demos.

hope this helps.

just post some in our unsigned tracks section, then we can take a look at it smile.gif

I think producing a real beauty is partially a matter of experiences (learnt by feedback and trying) and contains for the rest of good standards of producing

Well keep saying this,, but you have to make an ear for listening what is right and what is wrong,,, and i know Fruity sucks,, (sorry not a fruity user) tongue.gif ,, ..

maybe a tip for you,, try to start making a full beat (kick , hihat , clap , etc etc ) .. so you can set the right volumes for each instrument.. smile.gif
