This time i decide to make an experiment with the sound.
As we said before in previous contests topics that it would be nice to see some non-trance mixes in the contest. So here it is. I made a mix in electro and techno style.
No hard techno and schranz in it, only soft and melodical music. I could say that's
intelligent music. I really like this mix, hope you will too. Cheers.
01 Telepopmusik - Tuesday (Intro)
02 Swayzak - Make Up Your Mind
03 John Tejada - Everything Will Be OK
04 Little Computer People - Who Do You Love
05 Swayzak - Keep It Coming
06 Ame - Mifune
07 ID - Ping-Pong
08 Deadbeat - White Out
09 Mathew Jonson - Ultraviolet Dream
10 Drumkomputer - Munk
11 John Tejada - This Fake Place vs Ricardo Villalobos - Fools Garden
12 Swayzak - Make Up Your Mind (Slight Return)

it's about mix building... it's different version and it's in acapella. mix started with that one and end with it too, i think it's cool.

Before pressing the play button, I can tell that I'm going to be treated to a style of mix that I probably havn't heard before. To me this kinda style reminds me a little of the 'lounge' music of Royksop. You mix the tracks so smoothly, I really am having trouble working out where one tune ends and the next begins! This is a result though of my lack of knowledge of this style of music. Swayzak - Keep It Coming kinda reminds me of the vocals used in a lot of Underworlds tracks; a repeated male vocal. From that point I'd have a hard time talking about the tracks as I'm not really sure which tracks are playing lol! i feel the mix really starts to lose its interest at the 40 min point, the tracks just dont really have any appeal and are quite dull and repetitive. Your mixing remains very sharp but you lose points on the tracks that are used in the second half, I just find them too annoying. I do admire you for trying out a very original mix, (imo) and therefore I scored you high in that area and also your mixing, but I'm afraid I have to give you a lower score for build up and track selection. I do have a very varied taste in edm, and I did like the tracks you played in the first half, however, later on, the mix did nearly put me to sleep! You have a great talent, and this is shown in your ability to mix different styles of music with a high level of competence, but you took a big risk in this mix, which is not a bad thing. If you had used some beefier tunes towards the end, your score would have been higher.
