Fuzzion, you still gotta work more on beatmatching. The timing is quite ok and your build-up is nice, but your crossovers are still a bit the weakest point of your mixing...

I'm sorry to say this, coz it's your first reply in your topic, but I'm only being fair and if I'm incorrect, let me know wink.gif

Keep practising more and if you want some more advise about how to make a good beatmatch, let me know, okay? wink.gif

Nice set DJ Fuzzion, some people here need to check their beat matching skills and music selection, before judging you. I love your set, Thanks.

Nice track selection offering a great deal of variety! Commendable. The overall mixing is good, but in some places its slightly out of sync (24:30 fx.)
All in all enjoyable, but a little after production is needed wink.gif

Tracklist: 7
Mixing/Technique: 6
Build-up: 6
Originality: 7

Overall - 6.5

The mix begins with a perfect intro track, some very relaxing sounds in this one. The second track is mixed in without too much fuss and builds up nicely from the last track with some great percussion. And now onto Electrostatic Damage, this one is new to me, and I must say is an excellent track, my fave out of the mix. Heres where you start having problems, Find is mixed in far too early. I realise that the first break in it comes quite early, but with tracks like that you have to memorise where the breaks are gonna come. This is relatively easy when ur playing from digital media where you can see the time elapsed display, but is much harder to predict with vinyl. There really isnt any need to mix out of tunes so early, you really spoiled the flow by killing off Find just as it was in its chorus. This isn't a megamix competition you know lol! A quick tech interlude comes with Oceanborn and Kinetic, these two tunes worked quite well together, and the bassline of I Feel Wonderful is initially well layered but I feel should have been mixed longer over the previous track. A couple of classics next, Hydra is a great tune but it has a distinctive pad sound that is difficult to match with another tune. Again you have mixed On-Stream in too early over the break of Affinity. You seemed to have some kind of error with Ways, nicely placed after On-stream but could just do with tidier mixing. Yet another early kill with Fueled, it was perhaps a wrong choice to pitch up a prog track so high at this point in a mix. Although I did think that the mix into Massive Motion was well executed and they worked well together. Now, here you had the chance to finish the mix at 60 mins, with a nicely powerful tune, but what I can't understand is that you have mixed it into a prog track, and gone five minutes over the allowed time?! Fair enough, if you were in the middle of the last tune near the 60 min mark and just let it end out, but you added one more unnessary track! Overall, too many tunes in the mix, filter out the weaker tracks and work on the flow from track to track. Your beat matching is getting there, I can hear that you know what you are doing, as you quickly correct your mistakes, you just need concentrate on getting the beats right in your headphones first, and fine tune the crossovers. A lot are done too fast, and I feel that you are being a little greedy in trying to get too many tunes in there, it wont get you more marks and it doesn't sound good at all when you mix out of the middle of tunes!
