Well do you want to mix your mp3's live? or do you want to create some real quality set? for live mixing i think Traktor is the best (Final Scratch is based on that) .. but for a quality set you could use Ableton Live 4.0 .. wub.gif very easy and you can use some DX plugins on it.. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Well i'm no DJ but i would say.. Ableton Live.. you easily understand the basics of mixing.. smile.gif ...hmm no second thought.. try Traktor,, easier and it's just 1.2.3,, mix a tune with another.. smile.gif

i'm using traktor 2.0 for one year now and i learned the basics of beatmatching on it smile.gif
till i have money to buy me some gear , well i'll be using traktor
one tip if you wan't to use traktor as a starter for later dj-ing on real gear , then don't use the sync function it's soooooooo lame
even a small child can beatmatch with that function smile.gif

for the rest , really nice program , did alot of good mixes with that one even mixed live at a big lan-part with it biggrin.gif

Final scratch is not based on Tracktor it just includes the software engine now.

I'm gonna go with Tracktor as with that app you just upload the file and mix it where with ableton Live 3 & 4 you have to "Warp" each track and that takes about 3-4 mins a track!

Check out Traktor DJ Studio 2.0. Easy to learn and has pretty cool features you can play around with like seamless loops, EQ's with full kill switches, & record your mixes to your hard drive so you can impress your friends, just to name a few..... cool.gif

I'm using Dj Traktor 2.5.3 on my fellow computer ( he has better soundcard tongue.gif ) or Traktor v2 on my own. I think is the best Pc Mixing Program, good for small parties.

In the past I worked on Virtual Turntables but after 6 months I discovered Traktor wink.gif.

Good Luck with Mixing ! cheers.gif

I'm using Atomix 2.2 for overa year.Enough to do good. Some flangers on it, easy mixing and quite good.Just download @ p2p network. They're cracks in it, flangers and more specials. Should be easily found on the web. Good luck!

Wow!!! Am I the only one who still uses Mixmeister? I love this program and created some QUALITY sets with it. Maybe I'll check out Ableton though.
