I love the SONY's. they have great sound reproduction w/o killing your ears while at a loud venue? I'm looking 4 new ones and want people opinions. ESP those who mix at loud events.

I got the Technics RP-DJ1210 here... it's a great headphone...
It seals of really well and the sound is crystal clear smile.gif
And it doesn't hurt your ears at high volume , the only thing u have to get used to that the earpads are a little tight in the beginning... so they're not actually for listening to cd's better said "to wear them constantly" smile.gif

for the rest perfect headphones definitly worth the price... oh btw they are also splash water proof biggrin.gif

Price: approx 150 euro's

Tip: Try looking for the Technics RP-DJ1200 , the same headphones only in a different color , and they are cheaper cause they are an older model smile.gif

you are right.....it's because HD25 wasn't designed for djing but studio worx and mainly for cameramen..and filming stuff.

btw....its very good for djing too! Comfortable and has very nice sound.

And.....in Hungary the Pio hdj1000's and the hd25's price are exactly the same....
~about 250€s.... unsure.gif

One of my friends used to have a hdj1000 to but it has broken....
marcus wortley
Having owned a pair of HD25's for 6 years before I upgraded to the Shure E5's I know that you can stand on and abuse the Senheissers. How many headphones can you say that about all the other headphones are renowned for breaking at some point. The only thing that goes on HD25's is the Cable and you can replace that & for a longer one too if you need!
One bad thing about the HD25's is they get umcomfortable after a hour or so!

Sir recomends the Shure E3's or Sennheiser HD25 simply the best in their class & both £120-£130 wink.gif
defektion
I got both Pioneer & Sonys.

Pioneer HDJ-1000's

and

Sony MDR v-700 biggrin.gif

i get pain on my ears after an hour wearing the pioneer headphone.

may be because it's 'virgin'. tongue.gif

Stanton DJ Pro 3000 is by far the most coolest (onboard EQ and beatlight LEDS)

I don't own a pair, but I want one badly! They supposedly fit and feel really well, so check it out.

p.s. Just a word of advice bye1.gif , don't go with Sony lol. I've heard numerous accounts of them breaking, one of them in the middle of a mix

Been using my Pioneer HDJ-1000 for at least 1/2 year . bad luck for me the wyre snapped from the inside resulting left side soundless . mad.gif
Fixed it with some minor operations , had to cut the wyre open and sealed back . so far performance is good . Maybe mine was on the shelf too long until the wyre was crappy tongue.gif anyway pioneer HDJ-1000 thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
x3mmer
use Sony mdr-v700 last year. It's the best headphones thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
madalchemist
The Sony V-700s are hard to beat and contrary to a few opinions, thet are pretty durable and won't break unless you have a really big head or are really rough with them. I've had mine for almost 4 years and i've had no problems.
They're easy to position too, unlike some of the Sennheisers which resemble an elastic band! cool.gif
abhijeet87
i use...a Sony MDR-V700. ....very good out put..!!i like them..!!! rolleyes.gif
